Credit and/or Debit Cards with International Travel Insurance & No International Transaction Fees

Hi guys,

I'm trying to find credit and/or debit cards which meet both of the below criteria,
1) Complimentary travel insurance - which includes cancellation cover without any surcharge
2) No international transaction fees (so similar to the Ubank Spend Visa Card and the 28 Degrees Mastercard as examples)

So far I've only found 2:
1) NAB Platinum Visa Debit Card - $10 per month
2) CBA Smart Awards Credit Card - $19 per month

Have I missed any others?

Thanks.

  • Bendigo Ready Credit

There is also Bankwest Platinum Zero but the travel insurance is getting dropped from 3 September 2024

    • So basically just bendigo now?
Latitude rate is good but no other features. I'm thinking to ditch Latitude

    • Insurance on Bendigo card charges an excess on cancellations, which eliminates this option. However, it's a good option when considering no monthly fees.

Every complimentary travel insurance policy I have seen has an excess for cancellation and luggage.

        • The OP's criteria (see above) wants a card that has no excess for cancellation.

Both of those have an excess for cancellation

            • @BOGOF: Good pick-up and that's the OP's oversight.

        • To clarify, I'm not referring to the excess. Some travel insurance requires you to pay extra to include cancellation cover.

@Pbm33: Every complimentary travel insurance policy I have seen does not have an additional fee for cancellation and luggage.

            • @BOGOF: Bankwest Platinum cards has this language in the PDS for cancellation costs: "Must apply for and pay a premium for Upgraded Benefits"

    • so outdated it's painful to read

  • NAB Rewards Signature CREDIT CARD.
$24/month starting tomorrow (can prob still have the $145 first year if you signup today).

More expensive that the VISA, but with the reduce first year and the bonus points valued at $780 in gift cards, this might be a better deal.

also include phone insurance, (starting tomorrow, as well as the 0% international fees).
