Seems like a great price for these at ~$2.22 per volume or ~$6.66 per story.
These comics are set after the end of the original animated series (and before Korra), so I don't recommend these if you've only watched the Netflix series (or the movie that shall not be named).
They are printed by Scholastic Australia instead of Dark Horse, so there are differences in cover design, thickness, and materials used.

    Was almost upset that I'd been buying them for 10 each from Big W, but then I saw they're the single part versions.

    So I only spent an extra 20 for a superior format.

    I loved the show and read a bit of these online years ago. The first wasn't that great but they did seem to be improving, but then not so much that I felt any need to continue after stopping.

    Important to note, the original hardcover versions of these books are the 'normal' A4 comic book size. The ones in this set are smaller.

    My daughter has watched the whole lot on Netflix. I'm a little confused why you mention don't grab these if you've watched that whole series, are these different?

    She's addicted to Avatar so wondering if i should get this?

      The OP means the live action Avatar Netflix series that just came out, as it only covers season 1 of 3 from the animated show.
      People call that 'the netflix avatar show' because it was ordered/produced by them.

    I pre-order it from Amazon for $60. Only after it was delivered did it drop down to $40 :(

    There is also below 5 books that is not in the set. Anyone know what is the relation with the 18 books in the set?

      Lost Adventures contains short comics that are set during parts of the series.
      Team Avatar Tales contains short comics that are set during and after the series.
      Katara and the Pirate's Silver is set during Book Two.
      Toph Beifong's Metalbending Academy is set after The Rift and before Smoke and Shadow.
      Suki, Alone is set between the episodes "Appa's Lost Days" (Book 2 Episode 16) and "The Boiling Rock" (Book 3 Episode 14).
      There is also Azula in the Spirit Temple, which is set after the series.

      There's a great guide for the ATLA comics here which goes into more detail.
