  • For a moment, I thought this was the new Sony wireless home theater speakers!😩

I have this. Everyday I restart once because of drop out

    • You should probably return it under warranty.

    • I have this with 5 satellites & don't have your issues fortunately for me ;-)

I have this, i dont have drop out or restart issues but be aware that this does not separate 2.4ghz and 5ghz for home automation devices.

    • What do you mean by that, this in spec?

      AX1800 Dual-band WiFi : 2.4GHz (600Mbps†) + 5GHz (1200Mbps†) for WiFi devices to connect to the Internet

He means they are not separate visible networks. Some devices can be annoying to get connected to 2.4ghz if there aren't separate SSIDs to specifically connect to. Same with my orbi rbk50 but i just walk to the garage and it usually works since 5ghz is weak there.

        • Yep, it's really bad. We have a printer that only works on 2.4GHz, and it refused to connect to the Orbi router no matter what we tried. We just gave up and moved to Deco lol.

@ldd-mn: Switch off the 5ghz band, connect device to the 2.4ghz band and turn 5ghz band back on?

            • @eggaz: You can't switch it off. There's only a setting to disable AX for the bands.

              • @ldd-mn: Not with that attitude

Hard to believe that isn't an option, but I don't have anything newer than 50 series

                • @MagicMikez32: I'm not too sure what you are pointing out, the person in that post seems to have the same experience that I have had.

                  • @ldd-mn: Looks like they asked and got an answer.

I've never bothered turning it off, I just use an old mobile to connect any troublesome devices

                    • @MagicMikez32: Yeah, the answer they were given was what I had said previously, it only disabled the WiFi 6 (AX) features of the band, not the band itself.

    • Are you sure? Orbis had firmware released a few months ago that adds an additional IoT wireless SSID. Check under settings>wireless settings.

  • Already have this, but would like another satellite. Can both of these be used as a satellite you think?

    • With firmware modding, potentially!
