Can I return the lubluelu vaccum I just bought the other day from eBay by refusing to accept delivery?
I would much prefer the roborock brand :(

    • Good luck with that.

    • +1

Doesn't look like you can buy an auto-empty station to pair with this Roborock Q5, and it only has 1 sweeping brush. I'd say keep the Lubluelu S60D and get an auto-empty station for a combined price of around about the same - couldn't imagine life without the auto empty!

      • +13

I think it would be easy to imagine yourself emptying the bin more often.

      • +1

The Lubluelu SL60 Plus vacuum and Auto Empty Station is currently $375 with promo code through eBay

        https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/335313886738?chn=ps&_ul=AU&_trkp…

        • Is it as good as Robo? I have broken two stick vaccums in 2 years, so basically they last an year. Was looking to get a vaccum again but now sticks are not very popular anymore

          • @sqheaven: would also like to know as I'm looking to replace my s5max which is deteriorating in performance.

          • @sqheaven: Unsure sorry, I was thinking of buying it for my parents place though.
They still have the original Xiaomi at the holiday place and it's still going strong

          • @sqheaven: I wouldn't compare any of these to stick vacuums tbh (if that's even what you're saying)

Anyway I might actually be able to help here. I bought a Lubluelu for like $300 without the auto empty station and a roborock Q7 at the same time.

I bought the Lubluelu for my parents. Anyway I tested both and got both working. I didn't notice any huge difference but my entire floor is vinyl and tile. Imo the Q7 is on par with the S5 max (which bought previously for my in-laws).

The Lubluelu one "feels" cheaper and but that might be in my head as the Q7 was $500 at the time. I actually prefered it as it can drive around quieter than the Q7 (aka it doesn't need to have the vacuum on while travelling to an area). At my parents house we've got pets and carpets and it actually does surprisingly well, it also comes with a lot more spare parts than the Q7 so I look at that as another positive.

The Lubluelu voice prompts are a bit broken sounding like it'll say "take out the trash bin" or something like that when you have taken it out and "insert the dust bin" when you just inserted it (rather than "dust bin inserted"). Pretty trivial but just a noticeable difference.

The brush heads are different, but I can't really compare as I use the Q7 in an area without carpet so I don't really benefit from the rubber roller (and hairs aren't heaps long in my house). The Lubluelu has the brushes and from what I've seen is similar to the S5max with how you clean it. Tbh if I had a multi story house Id probably get the lubluelu for the other floor just based on price. It works pretty damn good.

You can buy aftetmarket ones auto empty stations separately, on amazon and aliexpress.

        • How does that work if I may ask, new to this since I assume that the robovavc has assigned automated bins design by robovac? How would the robot recognise a third party bin or is there a feature that allows it to do so?

  • +1

How good is the mopping? I have a ecovac that does a great job in vacuum and mop but the problem is the mop part doesn't lift so depending on what is installed, that is what it does and can't go over carpet. Looking to get a seperate one for just mopping

    • +2

tried it it works but not very practical as it just wipes the floor but it works so nothing special

    • +2

The mop just wipes over the floor but I think it does a good enough job just for general maintenance, it's not gonna get out any thick drops/spills but who really cares. The issue is it doesn't lift, as you mentioned for your ecovac. You have to attach it for the hard surfaces then manually take it off for the carpets, because of this I never actually use the mop. Would love one that autolifts, then I would actually use the thing.

  • Is there an auto cleaning dock for this?

    • +1

Only the pro+ has the cleaning dock. This one doesn't.
The pro+ is the same device, just with the dock, being the difference.

      • Can you buy the dock separately?

  • This or lubluelu? Is there really much difference?

    • With these basic models probably easier to compare the customer service.

Lubluelu have been responsive in my experience and sent new devices as soon as it was found to be faulty. Although it was fairly recent experience times can change

    • +2

not sure on this one but I only realised how loud the lubluelu is now that I bought a Q Revo
For the price the Lubluelu is excellent

    • I’m considering the same two.

Is this one that much better for an extra $160?

  • Thanks op. I was kicking myself for missing the deal last time during eBay weekend. I got lots of long pet hair so want to give this a go :)

  • +5

the last pic , what the dog doin

  • +3

Any deals on roborock q revo maxv? <3

  • +4

Their current deals on the website are pretty average since they jacked up their prices. Will be good to see what eBay brings

  • +1

Could anyone comment on how this works with a third party bin like from Ali express? How does the Roboto recognise it or is there a feature that does this, this whole time I assume that the robo vacuum that comes with the auto empty bins are only recognise by that specific robot model? Could someone enlighten me as I'm new to this

  • +2

Never bought a robovac - is this the one to buy?

    • I started with the lubluelu and did the job pretty well for vac but mop not so good
Just bought the Q Revo for downstairs and the lubluelu moved upstairs

      • +1

I am starting to look into this as well. I have got timber floors or fake timber floors upstair and downstaris. Carpet on the stairs.

I usually vacuum then mop once a week. Will the Q Revo be best from an affordable model point of view. Is there anything I need to look out for?

        • I don't have carpets just tiles and timber floors
Only just got it this week but impressed with it
Obstacle detection seems fine but I always clean up the kids toys and stuff beforehand

  • Hmm grabbed a Q8 Max+ already, but maybe return for this? No auto empty dick and no object avoidance seem to be the only differences really (along with a more basic mop that is gravity fed rather than electronic, but I won't be using that anyway)

I do have a Q Revo that I use the mop on and would say it's definitely the way to go if you want mopping.

    • is it annoying when it comes to clean the dirty water tank and the base?

      • Not at all. And way less annoying than doing the mopping myself.

        • Can you give more info? Is it clean after mopping? Would it get tripped? I am tossing whether I should just get a vaccumm with auto empty for around $600, or this one with proper mopping. How often do you need to change the mopping pads? Do they smell?

          • @easoweno: I put the mopping pads through the wash every week or two. Yes the dirty water bin smells but nothing tragic.

Not sure what you mean about tripped? The floor is clean, and the base is dirty so you need to clean it once a fortnight or so.

            • @kulprit: I mean would it be able to clean the whole floor and avoid the obstacles (such as chairs coffee tables) but still mop the edges precisely? Or do I have to take as much as I can off the floor? Do you find that you still need to manually mop after?

              • +1

@easoweno: These are more for in between proper cleans, rather than a full replacement and you will never clean again. We get a fortnightly cleaner and used to have to still vacuum every few days and mop once, we don't need to do either anymore.

    • +6

Tbf most dicks are auto empty

      • +2

Haha, damn now I can't fix it either

        • In that case you may need to see your GP without delay…

  • How does q5 pro compare with q7 max ? Has anyone checked this - https://www.mobileciti.com.au/roborock-q7-max-robot-vacuum-c…

This is refurbished but it’s priced more than Q5 pro.

    • Comparing the Technical Specifications it looks like a no brainer to go with the Q5 Pro:

      Specification Q5 Pro Q7 Max
      Age: Newer Older
      Suction: 5500Pa 4200Pa
Main Brush Type: DuoRoller Brush Single All-Rubber Brush
      Dustbin Volume: 770ml 470ml
      Water Tank Capacity: 180ml 350ml
  • +1

Better to wait till up and down stair-climbing robot vacuum called Migo Ascender.

    • I feel like I wouldn't want to be an early adopter of something like that, I'd wait until it's well established and they've got it working perfectly. I wonder how much extra battery it uses to go up and down stairs also.

I'd probably just go with one independent vacuum per level.

  • +2

    Got one - thanks op!

  • +2

    Got one thanks! Nice price.

  • +2

Thanks - just bought one for $340 :)

    • Received today - Mrs is already loving it, especially cleaning specific areas (zones) after toddlers are done eating dinner in a messy way ;)
      Thanks once again OP.

  • Got one. Woo!

  • Got one, let the cats be traumatized.

  • Would love one with an auto cleaning dock but seems the next model up is $1200 on mobile city

  • +1

    Got one

  • ordered 1

  • +4

Bought one for $340 without having eBay plus

  • +3

    131 sold in 30 minutes.
    ~$44K in sales. not bad!

  • +2

These are incredible value for money and I just move it between 3 levels with the map saving feature. Works great and I can only imagine diminishing returns on anything priced higher than this

  • Can you get replacement mop pads on aliexpress/ebay? What's the ongoing cost for parts for this? Just bought one now

  • THANKS ISP AND MOBILECITI :)

  • +1

    Nabbed one, thanks OP!

  • +1

Have a Q5 but some other version, absolutely love it. Mop feature is a waste of time as you have to manually take it off if you're going for the carpet. Had trouble connecting it to my router but got it working eventually, can't remember what the trick to it was. Outside of that it's a great vacuum.

    • This devices usually work on 2.4Mhz band so do not try to connect them through 5Ghz band on your Modem/Router. Also, password of Wifi should not contain any other characters rather letters and numbers, not even a space. It cost me alot of googling and asking IT minded friends to figure out this. I hope it will help whoever is having a difficult time to connect devices on their wifi

      • +1

Yeah those two suggestions came up a lot, but neither of those was my issue. Unfortunately I can't remember what resolved it so I hope it doesn't come up again!

  • +1

Snagged one. Our first ever robot vacuum. Fingers crossed!

    Thanks OP!

  • This or the lubluelu ?

  • +1

    Thanks OP!

  • 196 sold, 241 to go…

  • My old S5 Max battery is getting average and its much noisier and creaking than it use to be, so you inspired me to do an upgrade
i'll use the price of a genuine battery replacement as some internal justification also :)

  • Can anyone comment on roborock's duorollers. Seems to do fine on hard floors but worse compared to older single roller on carpet and against other dual rollers like irobot

  • I just bought this via Amazon 2 days ago. Returned and bought with this deal instead.

  • Snagged one thanks!

Compared to Lubluelu, I think this is better as replacement parts of longevity of company is also important for a device that should last 5-7 years.

  • +2

New to this. Do we need to stock up on some accessory like, bags or something? Third party should be fine I suppose? Links pls if you know of one. Thanks

  • Anyone who has one know how it handles little vertical gaps?
There's some spots in this house with a bit of a lip from one floor to the other. I assume there used to be carpet down the hall and now there's a drop off.

    • Found a reddit review about it.

"I have a “curved” threshold from a lower to higher floor that is 2.2cm high. It detected this as a troublesome threshold and marked it as such. It now takes a specific run at it each times it tries to cross it. Works without any issues (it sometimes needs to retry but succeeds)."

Gap is half that size. So sounds like I'll be fine.

  • Got one. Finally jumping on the bandwagon.

  • OOS

    • Still in stock? I can add to cart and everything.

  • +1

    Back in stock again. Reported

  • +1

Confirm back in stock - just purchased for $340

  • +1

Bought one! It's my first one ever. Hopefully, it's good.

  • I am on the fence but lack of mop lifting is a deal breaker. For those of you that purchased, what will you do about carpets/rugs?

    • +3

It won't go on carpet if mop is attached. Remove mop Attachment for it to go on carpet.

  • Damn missed out

    • It is in stock at time of reply.

    • Use the coupon David!

      • Thanks! I tried but the code wasn't working. Think it was due to my account being created in the UK. Made a new Aus account now and worked perfectly. Thanks!

  • Thanks, purchased!

  • I bought this a month ago from mobileciti and absolutely love it! Mopping is more like wiping but the vacuuming is great. Highly recommend especially for this price

    • For how much? Just to compare if we really are getting a discount? :)

      • I paid $370

  • OOS

  • +1

Still alive - just ordered one!

  • Seems hard to justify while the old viomi V2 is working. I wonder if it is much better.

  • Ordered one. I checked out as a guest (no eBay Plus) and it worked too, so doesn't seem to be limited to eBay Plus only.

  • code does not work.. sold out?

    • Same here, code no longer works. Still says there's stock, what was the expiry on this deal??

      • it says 11th June on the post

  • Any chance of getting more stock for this code?

  • +1

Arrived today, can't argue with the shipping speed.
