  • i'm interesting but i think i'm a little too young for that type of job!

    • Hey mate, we encourage everyone to apply. The younger the better - in a non-pedo kinda way ;)

Our team is pretty young and we have a very "Google Everything" culture. Our Founder and CEO is about to turn 30 and he's one of the oldest people in our company.

We also run a meritocracy so that means people get rewarded purely on what they are capable of and the value they add - rather than how old they are, what uni degree they have, how long they've been at the company, etc

  • "international travel" means "to china"

basically it means trolling globalsources and aliexpress and the like for 1,000 items like those handheld android gamepads… buy at $10, sell for $40 etc.

    you get the idea

    • You're right! The majority of travel is to China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and South Korea.

Kogan also has an operation in the UK and our Products Team may be required to attend trade fairs and meetings in Germany and the USA.

  • +5

"Yes Mr. Kogan, I will file the reports soon. Just gotta sign up for these free cat food samples first, then find something under $10 with free shipping from Gray's Outlet, then buy this toothpaste squeezer from Meritline, then call my Dad to ask him what size singlet he wears cos they're free on Ozsale…"

    • Good thing the free whopper promo is over or you'd be keeping Mr Kogan waiting longer.

  • +2

Is the salary so low because you KNOW that the OzBer that you hire will be bringing every electronic device they own into the office to charge, will be putting all of their expenses through starthere and will select all of their travel arrangements based solely on the personal benefits derived, thereby supplementing that salary?

  • Hey KoganCareers,
I'm interested, however I am assuming this is for Melbourne applicants only(or those who are willing to move to Melbourne), is that right?

    Cheers

    • Our HQ is in Melbourne. That said, we operate with a lot of flexibility and all our processes utilise cloud services. For exceptional candidates, we sometimes allow working from an alternate location.

  • Whens the deadline for recruitment?

    • For this particular role, application deadline is this Thursday. We are, however, constantly expanding the team so if you miss the deadline, we can consider you for other positions.
