In the market for a queen size mattress as our mattress from A-Mart is destroying our backs now. we are in late 30s and 160kg combined (lol) if that helps. Also, we are in Victoria and the budget is limited (1k) but the urgency is real.
Suggest a Comfy Mattress under 1k

Springs on the bed can be felt. so need to throw it out when we get new one.
I haven't had that many mattresses in my lifetime… but the one I got ~2 years ago from Amazon seems pretty darn comfy to me.
It's comfy and I wake up feeling refreshed without any pains or soreness at all. I tried a foam matress topper once after reading stuff on the internet… but it takes so much effort to roll over that it wakes me up at night lol.
Would you have link to amazon one you bought or brand name so i can look up.
It was this one, I purchased in Aug 2021. Vacuum sealed and delivered to my house in a nice and compact box.

It's such a preference based question.. but for a relatively soft mattress i'd suggest an Eva mattress.
They are currently $825 brand new delivered so that is in your budget.
I recently purchased a second one for the second bedroom - I bought a second hand Eva for like $250 and it's great also.https://eva.com.au/collections/mattresses?tw_source=google&t…
If you don't like it you can return it within 100 days. I once purchased a $1600 mattress and I hated it but couldnt do anything about it - so now i'll only ever buy a bed in a box because of the return policy.
could just get a topper if your budget is limited
