Family is heading to Japan soon for 12 days, and won't always be together. I suspect each person having a sim would be most feasible. Anyone know which sim is a good option?

This is a good resource for comparing esims available in Japan (and everywhere else).

I recently compared all of the esims plans and prices and found Nomad to be the cheapest. Worked perfectly in Japan. Have since used it in Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, Dubai, Egypt and Turkey with no issues. Just need to buy a esim for each region.
Forgot to mention, our phones can't use esim :(
I had no problems with this seller

SimsDirect is prob best option for physical sim
They regularly post deals on this site. We're just finishing a three week trip, both using sims from travelkon. The esim in my phone has been faultless, but my wife's phone with a physical sim has been a little problematic when away from the bigger cities. Might be carrier related, just as likely my wife's phone. Nothing that a quick reboot couldn't fix.
Ubigi e-sim worked really well for me. Highly recommend.

Will it work-fully (voice, data & sms) with ALL-Japan-Mobile-carriers ?
This phone doesn't have eSIM & hence I have to buy a pSIM in Japan, right & thanks ?
Esim is the easiest and cheapest if your phones support it. Otherwise use TravelKon or Sims Direct rather than a locally purchased sim as the local sims almost all have speed restrictions placed on the data after you have used a small daily allowance.
