I was chatting to a friend who likes GYG burritos, but I thought they were only meh, too much rice and beans and not much chicken. I like MadMex better, so i thought I'd ask ozb, what's your preference and why?

Needem Taco Bell option
Unapologetically Low quality Mexican > Pretentious 'Mexican with a mission' Z*mbrero rubbish that costs a fortune
In any case look forward to GYG quality going down the shitter now it's publicly listed
Needem Taco Bell option
What about Montezumas?
There should be is be None option. None of them are good.
if i knew what a QSR was I could answer.. but then again I hate mexican… so I'll move along now.
Where do you buy your FMCGs?
I have NFI what a QSR is.
Quick service restaurant
I also, had to google that (and it wasn't as easy to find as I hoped!). Also known as fast food restaurant…
i dont mind mad mex burrito
the nachos are trash but
Where's Salsa's?
What about Burrito bar? Consistently average!
Serious Eats Beef Barbacoa recipe + Pico + Rice + Beans + Cheese + La Banderita's grande wraps.
Bulk cook the beef recipe (you can push the chuck out to 3kg without effecting much) and portion it up in the freezer and you have GYG level burritos on tap.
Haven't eaten GYG in 2 years.
How could you miss Fonda and Salsas off this list!?
would fonda even be QSR
cause ive never even heard of them
I do like Taco Bill's as a family restaurant sometimes. But i wouldn't think of it for takeaway in same category as the others listed.
I bought my first Taco Bell crunch wrap and learnt howto do it. Pretty much a $25 grocery you can make 12 times crunch wrap at home. I also like to make my own burrito bowl, insanely easy to do.
Does it have to be a chain? TokyoTaco is unique.
Technically all of these options are Texmex - for me, it's zambrero just for consistency between restaurants. The other two can be anywhere from 2/10 to 9/10 depending on which store
