    I'd say "That's a nice spot".

  • Thank you OP, nice find! 😊

  • Will it help on a deal post? :)

    • Maybe that’s one of the awkward questions the book addresses.

I'm finding it's easier to just tell them what they are gonna get and how much they are gonna pay. Don't even let them think they are getting work for hire. Which means you need to know what they actually need before they do.

But a lot of this is unavoidable in a lot of contracting I suppose where it's the dealer's choice what happens.

  • Real Life Story [2PM on a Friday]

Client: "I need this logo by COB today."
Me: "These requests usually take 5 Business Days however if you need a rush job I can arrange that."
    Client: "Arrange it."
Me: "That'll be $500 an hour for 3 hours with payment required upfront. Bank Transfer, PayID or Cash?"
    Client: "I'm not paying that."
Me: "Do you need it by 5PM?"
Client: "I need it by 5PM."
Me: "Consider it done. $500/hr is my rate for a 1 Day turnaround. If you value both speed and quality, this investment will make sense to you. Otherwise you can expect the completed product within 4-5 Business Days in your inbox, I only charge $250 all-up for the latter. Ball's in your court - how would you like to proceed?"
    Client:
    Me:
    Client: "…Bank Transfer ok?"

    • Did they sign off on your 1 day logo? Can we see it?

  • Is this what should be encouraged
