DEFT No Longer Accepts Vanilla Visa GC Cards
As confirmed by Customer Service, Visa debit or credit cards must now be enrolled in the Visa Secure Programme in order to complete a payment or it will not be completed.
This is regardless of whether or not you are logged into your DEFT account.
Unfortunately, Vanilla Visa GC does not have Visa Secure to back it up.

I can no longer use these cards on Paypal or Sniip (complains about failed card verification) anyone else in the same boat?

Yeah, same issue here as well when trying to pay for rego. Have you figured out where else to use them?
@fat-monkey: I have been trying online heaps and literally no luck anywhere. Merchants tell me they've been getting "DO NOT HONOUR" as the rejection code when they try to charge it.
Customer service phone line keeps on telling me weird things like you're not allowed to use it for PayPal (I've used these in the past as a payment method with no issue), and that the balance is fine and card not blocked. I asked them to put a complaint through for me. If others are having the same issue would love to hear about it.d
@dinted: Are the Vanilla cards you were trying to use on PayPal bought at Coles or Woolies? I'm still able to use the ones bought at Coles with PayPal, but they don't work everywhere even with PayPal (e.g. Steam).
@MiscOzB: The ones I got from Coles a few months ago at 10% off. They may still be able to be used (I haven't tried recently) if they were added before, but the issue comes when you try and add a new one to Paypal.

@CodeXD Yes Coles MC still works with DEFT (just paid my rent a few mins ago). Also, the new Vanilla MASTERCARD GC from Woolworths also works (if anyone was thinking about that)

It seems Coles MC for DEFT will not work any longer (tried 2 different cards a few minutes ago). Hope this is only temporary.
