Be warned the actual frames for these TV's are really hard to come by. I've been waiting for 6 months for 65 inch white to come back into stock. Kind of ruins the appeal!

    • Was that for the 2024 model? I don't think it's been out that long. Could be that your model is out of production.

Same frame bezel for models 2021-2024

  • How hard is it to put your own pictures up on these tvs in its "art" mode or whatever it's called? Can it be automated? Is it all done via some proprietary thing and force you to manually update via an app? Anyone have first hand experience?

    • I've been able to connect it to a usb stick on my modern, and then make it cycle through photos from there. This is with an older model (2020 or so).

    • download the app and just add from your phone..not that hard.

    • Use SmartThings app on your phone if it's Samsung, it's so easy

  • 32inch frame is showing up as $799 for me.

  • So whats even the difference between this one and the 2022 model? That one was on quite a big discount earlier this year.

    • Yeah I was wondering the same. I believe a deal posted earlier had a ridiculous price.

      • The one I posted was around $1250 for the 65". Haven't seen it anywhere near that since.

        • I got my 55" (2022) eventually for $866 and I think I recall they were going at 1048 when the deal came out at the time.

So I think these can come down a little more.

          • @txb: damn that was good - stacking with GCs I take it to get that low?

@gazer: Didn't even know Samsung have gift cards?

This is what I did with some trial and error stacking:

Made a new account via Samsung Shop App (5% off first order on that account) NOT via EDU store, just the normal Shop.

Requested a loyalty code as a returning Samsung customer (10%) Make sure it's a 10% code though as you can stack multiple codes of different % but not multiple % that are the same (e.g 10 & 15%, not 15 & 15%)

At the time they had a trade-up offer, of trading in any tv (any brand, working or not) for $100 off. On my screen this discounted me by $70 something instead. So I milked them for this and tried my luck asking for a 15% code as a gesture of goodwill due to the trade up promotion not subtracting the full $100 as per the confirmation screen.

All the discounts were able to be stacked in my case.

              • @txb: Ah yep cheers - I did the same with my recent monitor purchase at the start of the year.

No I just thought it might have been a good guys deal or similar that you stacked GCs with.

Not much. Pantone colour accuracy certified is about it I think.

Well overdue for panel upgrade with better local dimming, better processor etc… but they know they can still sell these older tech units coz there’s no real competition for art mode.

      • The anti-reflective glass interests me. I also like the idea of art mode. Although I do questions if its worth the compromises you make with the other technology inside

  • If I don't have an EDU account is there a work around for this/these deals at all?
