Bosch Dishwasher Drying question & Option

Hi all,
We are getting a new dishwasher in our new place.
Our current beko budget one has drying issue, which can be solved by manually opening the door right after the dishwasher complete its cycle (and wait for 1-2 hour).

This prompted me to think about getting automatic open type, which i don't see this in Bosch series 6, and i do see lots of complain about drying when search up in the net.
Anyone has drying issue with BOSCH series 6? I don't really understand how extra drying option helps either without opening the door.

My other option would be
ASKO with turbo drying or AEG

Are they a better buy or there are other problems later on.
Budget is $1000. Can probably stretched to $1200 for the right product.
In sydney so have to miss out on the black bosch deal…

Thanks.

    Just open the door…

      …..it's free.

      This is the way.

most dishwashers dont auto open and dry fine.

I think for Series 8, the door opens auto.

    • Not all of them, very few bosch model has it. Seems to be more popular among miele models.

99% of the time the issue is having not used rinse aid.

More plastic in the wash also reduces drying effectiveness. It doesnt hold the heat as well as ceramic or metal and therefore doesnt evaporate the water as effectively.

  • Our Bosch doesn't have auto-door opening (or maybe we just haven't enabled it) and our dishes dry just fine, if that helps.

  • My bosch does not auto open the door, and does not dry the dishes well. It did fantastic for the first 3 or 4 washes, after that nope. They get like 3/4 dried, have to open door and leave for a while to fully dry

  • Series 8 opens the door automagically if you select "efficient dry" - if you leave it to any of the other wash cycles it will blast it with heat and dry the load much quicker.

  • I have a series 6 and never had an issue with drying. had it for I dont know how long, has to be at least 6+ years. I always use the full 'auto' cycle, not the fast cycle, dont know if thats a factor

  • Hi op, I have Bosch series 6 and yes had issue with wet dishes, particularly on Eco cycle. I'd suggest to use the Extra Dry option which is much better.

    • Extra Dry option

Does it dispense a Tooheys after the cycle is finished?

  • Recently i am having problems with drying series 6 bosch. Its only 4 months old. It started just few days ago. Dont know if anything to do with settings.
