I'm in Canberra and looking for quotes to get our kitchen floor tiled, roughly 12.5 square metres. I will buy the tiles separately.
Anyone received quotes recently they're willing to share for similar work?

is it currently tiled? lino? laminate? floor boards? carpet?????!!!!
if it is the do all the leg work(strip the existing flooring) and get on to airtasker
if you prep it then it will be cheaper.
when i did my kitchen splash back (3 walls) I stripped off the old tiles, got rid of the old mortar , etc .
i then took some photos of the area, and measured it all up, and then put that info on airtasker.
I provided the tiles (purchased super cheap when Masters was closing) . he provided the thin set mortar (left over from a job earlier that day) and the grout.
tiler just came in one day and put up the tiles. then a few days later came back and grouted them.
I then cleaned up (he wasn't the tidiest of tilers , but his work was spot on).
cost me $300 cash.
for kitchen floor prep you could do some waterproofing and possibly a membrane as well. pretty simple stuff to DIY
Tile size? Tile finish? Big square or weird shape floor? All factors which affect price.
Better to quotes in person. There will be some way more expensive than others. That means they don't want the job but will do it on the rare occasion someone accepts the ridiculous price.
