Have an Xbox 360 Slim - looking for a 1-2TB HDD brand new to upgrade it as it's an old drive now.
Keen to find a deal on a 1-2TB drive, whether that means it needs to be shucked or not I don't mind.
Alternatively I'm not opposed to an SSD for a touch more - although it likely has no real world benefits apart from lasting longer (if I go with something decent, which seems to only be Samsung at this point).
I sit far enough away that noise isn't an issue for me at all.
The MX500 is no longer a good option, they've decreased the RAM significantly to try and get them cheaper. I have a 2TB MX500 in my server which works but lacks RAM compared to older revisions of the same drive, ideally I'd rather pay a touch more for a Samsung
Oh, interesting about the MX500, I hadn't heard about them decreasing the DRAM in it, that is very unfortunate.
You understand MS has locks to HDD, and if your console has not jailbreak, it might just not work
Its an RGH'd console.
I'd honestly just go with an SSD for it. You've mentioned the only benefit is it lasting longer but noise is also a factor too. Samsung aren't the only ones who make decent drives. Western Digital SNxxxX drives are good as are Crucial MX500 ones.
