Boost - Port Back in Error on Email?

Trying to port back in after porting out to an aldimobile Sim and getting the error listed below.

Email address is same as before, as it's a mother in law that only has one email address. There's an alternate boost/Telstra id email in some Telstra id account recovery but unsure how you'd access that email address for getting access code (she isn't a Bigpond customer)

Anyone had something similar, or any ideas? Currently in the 20min lock out before retrying again stage :)

"It looks like you've already provided your contact details some time back, but the email you entered doesn't match with the one in our records. Try using a different email address or message us for help.'

    Try going to the mytelstra login page and click on "recover username".

      Ended up logging in to the boost/telstra id account first, then attempting activation and got it working (didnt need to do any email account verification stuff)
