Sadly looks like you can’t use Apple balance or gift card and get cashback according to SB t&cs

    • yeah, was looking to use some gift cards. They are tightening the screws with the discounts.

    • Well that's crap. When did they make this change? It used to be eligible.

    • Cashrewards clearly indicates that purchases with gift cards are eligible and they are offering boosted cashback as well (though only 5.5% and not 8%) today. So if you're using gift cards it's still a better offer than 0%.

  • Maybe a stupid questions, but I know there's various apple pricing, what's the best price on a base 14 inch M3 pro?

    I'm getting A$3,239.00

    • Hmmm. I would buy the official refurb one for $2969

Just to share my terrible experience with SB on upsized Apple deal back in Black Friday. It got declined even I have the screenshot of placing order within their IOS app and customer service confirmed that they can see me placing order from their end when I’m lodging my case.

Then it got declined with these ridiculous reasons:
    - We got some bad news about your Apple Store order - Cashback won't be awarded due to some recent updates on their end. (So that means merchant can do whatever they want to avoids the payout, so why you still partner with Apple? Is that bait marketing? )

-The channel that has been identified as the last referrer is not specified to us due to strict confidentiality reasons (cart was empty and I used their SB iOS app, so how could that happen, or your app is faulty?)

Lesson learnt is that if it’s not tracked, just cancel the order or return it within 14 days return window. Don’t bother lodging the missing tracking claim which will get declined anyway after 3 months waiting.

good advice to return if it doesn't track

    • Sorry to hear that, it sucks. I did buy 2 iPhones during the Black Friday sale and got my both upsize and Westpac bonus.

Take note, max of $100 Shopback. So max spend $1,000. Hardly worth all the jumping through hoops and failed tracking I have experienced with Shopback.

  • FYI, the 10% bank bonus started at midnight this morning.

  • "Bonus 10% Cashback for StG, BoM, BSA - 10% capped at $100"

    please explain the acronyms. @BigBirdy

  • no westpac cards cashback?

  • Hey, just a heads up I’m still waiting for payment confirmation from the Apple Education shopback upsized 8% cashback 02/03/24 offer. It tracked on the shopback app and was meant to be confirmed a couple of weeks ago. I have sent a late payment report, but got back an automated email saying they are still validating with the merchant and this process may take some time.
Has anyone gotten cashback confirmed from that Apple Education shopback 02/03/24 offer? Thanks

  • No giftcards no deal

  • Why does the Westpac group bother to have campaigns excluding Westpac itself?

  • Cashback came thru last night, $91.47 (18%) for iPad 10th gen ($559)
