Regular 3% eBay Cashback (Excludes Coupons) @ TopCashback AU

761

Saw they have flat cashback rate for eBay and not "up to". I like it.

Cashback terms and exclusions

What will stop me getting my cashback?

  • Using a discount code or voucher code not posted and approved by TopCashback.
  • Cashback is ineligible on the following: any coupon code use (unless specifically listed on TopCashback); travel category items; charity & non-profit items; eBay plus memberships; purchase of any gift cards; best offer accepted prices & auctions; purchases using any type of voucher or eBay credit. Note: payments made with eBay gift cards are eligible for cashback.
  • Payment of cashback will not be permitted on unpaid items with eBay, and persistent offending will result in termination of your TopCashback membership and forfeiture of all earnings.
  • If you return or cancel your order then you will no longer be eligible for cashback and you will see the cashback move to Declined in your account.

What else is essential?

  • Most retailers calculate the cashback based on the purchase amount excluding taxes and delivery charges. So if your cashback is slightly lower than expected, this will likely be why.
  • Cashback is eligible only on legitimate "Buy It Now" or "Winning Bid" transactions. Cashback is ineligible on bids placed with a sniping service/tool.
  • Cashback may track at a lower rate, but will uplift once the transaction is confirmed by the merchant.
  • Cashback for eBay is capped at $550 per item, excluding Motors & Real Estate categories which are capped at $100, and Business & Industrial category which is capped at $250.

Good to know

  • Cashback is eligible when eBay gift cards are used as a payment method.

What to do and when

  • Any Missing Cashback Claims must be lodged within 100 days of your purchase.

      Been like this for awhile…

      • Perhaps I've been to busy to notice

Cashback is eligible when eBay gift cards are used as a payment method.

    Excellent

    • Best place to get discounted eBay gift cards at the moment?

      • Can always get standard 3% through most reward programs.

        • +1

Other than Giftz from Topcashback, are there any other rewards programs selling ebay gift cards? Shopback don't sell them anymore I think.

      • +3

I bought Giftz card via TopCashback 5%

        • Nice, just to confirm, you bought this?

          Did your cashback track?

        • +1

Nice. Never knew about that program…..

        • +1

Is that 5% standard there or is it a temporary/promotional rate?

        • Might test this program a try with a small Woolworths Supermarket card purchase. Macquarie Bank Marketplace is excellent, but the rate here is a percentage point higher.

          • @Charlie Dont Surf: That's what I did with the Giftz card. Tried a $10 one to see if it tracked and then proceeded with the big purchase after it did

            • @orly: Did your e-gift card arrive instantly? Macquarie Marketplace is insanely fast. And any guidance on how long it takes for the cashback to be confirmed - MM is an upfront discount, so there's an advantage in that.

              • +1

@Charlie Dont Surf: Yep pretty much within minutes for gift card to be issued by email. It was within the same day that it tracked, may have been few minutes to few hours

        • I couldn't buy eBay cards from Giftz, paypal payment kept getting declined

          • @Ziggy28: Yeah that's what's happening to me too. Did you manage to find a workaround?

            • +1

              @CrispyChrispy: No mate i gave up :(

              • @Ziggy28: Having exact same problems. Managed to buy a $20 and $100 amazon card, but no luck after that. PM sent to @tightarse. See above for more users with issues also.

    • I bought a $20 Amazon one to test (should be 5% cashback). Gift card received instantly, email sent that the purchase tracked, but nothing showing in my account. Weird.

Can't see Amazon GC as an exclusion. Am I blind?

Edit Nevermind, cashback now in my account.

      • Can you please tell me where you can get cashback on amazon gc there? I can't seem to find a way to buy amazon gift cards through the website?

  • I can confirm that it tracked on a large purchase on eBay and I part paid with gift card (as apparently eBay only allows up to $1500) and just awaiting for payout. The interesting thing is that TopCashback allows it to track on auction style listings as well vs BIN auctions only.

  • Nice! Any reason why this wouldnt work for overseas items if ordered via ebay.com.au?

  • been using this for a while big reason why i switched from shopback, if you buy the 2.25% ebay shopback giftcards and then go through topcashback to make your purchase your getting 5.25% everytime

edit just seen a comment that you can get 5% cashback everytime on ebay giftcards

  • Do the browser extensions interfere with each other? Or best to turn them on and off as needed?

  • API (membership at $10 per month) do $15 off coupon for $150+ purchase, can be used in 2 transactions. Combo this with their 4% off gift card

  • +1

I do not see giftz on their site but via a google search it comes up but no cashback offers

  • Hey guys. Im new to Topcashback. Is there a working browser extension for AU?

  • Don't like TopCashback, has tracking issues. Never had that with Cashrewards or Shopback.
5 transactions done and only 1 has tracked.

  • Think TopCashback should have a heading for approved coupons and put "none" in the list, if there's none. Not great to say "only coupons listed" and not make it obvious none are listed.

    • Used the normal that eBay suggested with my plus. Tracked $0. Was a small purchase but with coupon saved more then 3%. Also not sure what coupons they are talking about. And would be good to know what other coupons to try :)
