[PC, Prime, GOG] Free - The Lullaby of Life @ Prime Gaming

1560

Amazon Prime Gaming has added a surprise additional game for this week. This game was not mentioned in prior postings for May but has been announced in an update to the June content on the Prime Gaming blog. It looks like a very recent release and is currently selling for $21.95 on Steam and $22.69 on GOG.

First up, I'd say that this is likely to appeal to a smaller audience than the unannounced game from last week (which proved very popular).

  • May 31st The Lullaby of Life (redeemed via GOG).
Play musical notes to solve timing-based puzzles in a journey where you bring dormant beings to life. Explore colorful environments and create harmonious sounds to navigate through this tranquil puzzle adventure inspired by the origins of life.

Amazon Prime states that the code needs to be redeemed via the GOG Galaxy app but you can always go to https://www.gog.com/redeem to redeem it and download the game without having to use yet another launcher/downloader (although GOG Galaxy is useful in keeping games updated). The choice is yours!

Don't forget that if you have no use for a code you can always post it on the "Code Request Megathread" https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/639741?page=9#comment so that another OzBargainer can make use of it. On the other hand, if you want a code you can post a request on the same thread (don't forget to thank the person who supplies one when you have redeemed the code so other OzBargainers can see that it's no longer available). Remember, we're all one big happy family here so let's treat everyone else with respect.

Just a reminder that you need to be an Amazon Prime user to have access to Prime Gaming

Happy gaming!

Why did they have to remove the hyperlink to GOG redeem website from the claim page….

I'm not sure why they changed the redemption process. Possibly GOG wanted Amazon to push the GOG Galaxy app?

That was the only reason I can see for removing the link.

    • I don't think they did, you just have to rotate your phone (if that's what you're on like I am) to reveal the account button. Tap that then tap redeem a code and you're good to go.

Wait… Did they used to have a redeem code button from within Amazon games page?

We're talking about the instructions on Prime Gaming for GOG games. Up until a few months ago the redemption instructions on gaming.amazon.com never mentioned the GOG Galaxy app as part of the redemption process. It simply provided a link to the GOG redemption page. Then the procedure changed, stating that you had to download and install the GOG Galaxy app and follow the instructions to redeem via the app. Since then I've been making people aware that they don't actually have to install and use the app for redemption if they don't want to do so.

        • Ah right, smart move. I don't dislike the gog galaxy app, but I wouldn't like to be forced to use it. Downloading standalone installers from the site has been fine for years.
