@xyron: Curiousity got the better of me: It's glued and clipped shut. A single PCB with a Phison 17 controller and unknown manufacturer flash chips on each side. Empty BGAs for upgrade to 1TB. Took some photos if you're interested.

Now to glue it shut again.

@impoze: It's pretty small, sizewise perhaps there's a 2242 or 2260 NVMe inside connected to a USB adapter, maybe it's all on one board. I don't want to crack it open.

            Interface is NVM Express 1.0/1.1

  • just received, quite small, was expecting it to be a metal housing similar to the Samsung T5 from the pics but it's plastic

    It comes with two cables USB C - USB C & USB A - USB C

The sticker on the box claims
Sequential read up to 1000MB/s and sequential write up to 1000MB/s

    • Crystal Disk Mark showed me

      SEQ1M Q8T1 Read: 1212.75 MB/s Write: 1202.85 MB/s
      SEQ1M Q1T1 Read: 719.69 MB/s Write: 1167.01 MB/s
      RND4K Q32T1 Read: 313.02 MB/s Write: 258.04 MB/s
      RND4K Q1T1 Read: 34.59 MB/s Write: 79.18 MB/s

Just gone mine, getting about 900MB/s sequential reads and writes on CrystalDiskMark. I think this is a Phison U17 drive, so there won't be a M.2 drive inside to extract.

  • Received mine today, pretty happy with the value. Deal is now available again from Officeworks, but with a limit of 1 per customer.

  • Some stock reported in QLD. Doesn't seem to be elsewhere.

    • Sold out again

  • back in stock, just ordered one with delivery to NSW.

  • Thanks, ordered 1 — limited to 1 per customer.

  • Ordered 2 just now. One by signing in the office works account and other by continuing as Guest and then signing in using onePass account.

    Both orders were successful.

Bought 2, ordered 1, checked out and then started a fresh order using same account. Successful with 2 different order numbers.
