I can't see any wifi capabilites, so the answer is NO
Radio Controlled Clock time is derived from atomic clock, sent via low frequency radio signal.
NOT wifi!
Radio Controlled Clock time keeping ln Japan starting in the 1940's Now used extensively in clocks in Japan.
Radio Controlled clocks can pick up radio signals in northern parts of Australia.
(My Seiko alarm clock does that in Brisbane)
But clock needs to be designed for international market to display local time.
That requires setting an offset via buttons - for local time + Day Light Saving.
(Mine lacks that important feature!)
Most Japanese clocks are designed for 1 (Japan Standard) Time zone. So there is no way to set an offset!
No indication this clock has that adjustment!
Buying this (if without that offset for local time adjustment) will only show time in Japan!
(Like mine showing Japan time!)
Can be used as a normal digital clock requiring manual adjustment. Just turn Radio Controlled off by pressing "WAVE" button.
I've got a Philips DAB clock radio which automatically sets the time. It works really well.
@WatchNerd: Yes - DAB is another good option. Only if you are in reception area (mainly capitals).
Radio Controlled Clocks are pretty outdated tech. But they are everywhere in Japan
Strangely, Japan was ahead of the game, and now is behind in many areas.
Was surprised to see this Deal.
Could be a risky purchase!!
Grabbed my old Seiko alarm clock & set it up as normal clock, not using Radio Controlled time signal. Works fine.
Has been 1 hour behind on Japan time last 10 years. Forgot how easy it is to changeš¤
@WatchNerd: Reset my Seiko clock at night to observe radio time control.
Put it on window as recommended.
Pressed "WAVE" button - icon flashed searching.
But never found reception.
Antenna is aligned along the back of clock, so facing back in direction of transmitter should work better.
Changed from West to North facing window.
Picked up reception in minutes (wave icon on screen), reset (to Japan) time & date.
Turned off "WAVE" & added an hour to show AEST.
Has worked extremely accurately for a week without radio updates.
AFAIK Telstra shut it down over two decades ago. So unless you make your own radio transmitter (plenty of guides on the internet) it will not work.
It's possible to receive the signal from Japan in some parts of Australia
There's also apps that you can use, but I haven't really looked into it
I've a radio synched watch, doesn't work in Sydney.
I've looked into a DIY home transmitter, and to me it's really not worth the hassle when you can just use an internet connected clock instead. Perhaps these can be automated, but the solution I saw was manually activated.
I just sync my watches manually by looking at my phone clock. Takes less than a minute.
@WatchNerd: Some people like fiddling with watches, some don't :)
But a radio synched watch in most of Oz is fairly useless.
Set your Radio Controlled watch or clock using JJY Radio (Japan) emulation for PC
Haven't tried it yet with my Seiko alarm clock.
It picks up radio signal in Brisbane every few days. But clock lacks adjustment to local time. So not much point.
@INFIDEL: Yeah, with that hacked around solution it's easier to just manually set the time!
When I've been in countries with radio time, it's quite neat that it's a totally automatic process that happens without noticing.
Have a different Seiko clock.
Radio control works in Brisbane.
Resets time - some nights when reception is good.
But clock needs to have setting to offset time by correct amount, to keep time to your local time!
Unless this clock is designed for international market - radio control of time is useless as will always display Japanese time!!
There is no indication (on Amazon & elsewhere) that this clock will show local time here, using Radio Control
To stop clock resetting to Japan time…
Can turn off Radio Control by pressing 'WAVE' button
But that disables the major feature… works like normal clock.
Otherwise a smart clock with internet set time & other features seems a far better ideaš¤
Bought $10 clock to use while in Japan, a decade ago. Has almost same display, in white case. Runs for a year on 2 AA batteries.
Didn't notice "Radio Controlled" on front. As was only made for domestic market, there is no way to adjust to local time hereš
Manual & online instructions were only in Japanese!
Has fewer buttons than image of this model - to control the time!
I can change the time, remains quite accurate & set to local time.
BUT resets to Japan time few nights later!!
Clocks are common in bathrooms in Japan. So leave it in my Japanese themed bathroom on Japan timeš
Does this means it detects earthquakes?
some say working in NT and Far North Qld
Radio Signal from China, 2x Japan, Atlantic and Pacific USA and Germany
Works in Brisbane - resetting only some nights.

I'd recommend a similar priced G-Shock over that.
Looks like it was straight out of the 70s but thanks, getting tired of all the aliexpress clocks that always need to be adjusted every month or so. Even without signal, I'm sure this will keep the time better
tired of all the aliexpress clocks that always need to be adjusted every month
My Kmart one is within 15 secs over a year.
Have had a few very inaccurate kmart clocks!
Pretty useless when they only had 1 job to do & failed at itš
With a Radio Controlled Clock (this Deal) time is derived from atomic clock, sent via low frequency radio signal.
It's very accurate.
But so is an internet connected clock.
Older design popular in Japan.
Japanese reviewers like the old school Showa period (1926-1989) retro feel. Typically found in many older wooden Japanese houses.
Now to bring back wood grain cars, dishwashers and rangehoods.
Especially the Wagon Queen Family Truckster in pea metallic
Tesla has already granted your first wish.

Caution:
There are only Japanese reviews…
So operation outside Japan may not be as expected.
Unless designed for international use, may have problem setting local time. No information found.
My different Seiko model was only designed for Japan market - resets overnight to Japanese timeš
Viewing manual should show if suitable for use in other countries, by changing settings.
Only found Japanese version of manual.
eg Image shows day of week in Japanese. Same as my Seiko clock.
Not a big issue, but doubt it can be changed.
Radio Control clocks are very common in Japan. May not work everywhere here. (Does in Brisbane)
Reviewers like the old school Showa retro feel! Typical of many older Japanese houses. Unlike most Australian homes.
thought about getting a larger one of these amazon seiko clocks from amazon jp.
I just spent about 30 mins trying to find the reviews but couldnāt find them.
basically a few reviews from outside japan said the clock auto changes according to Japan DST and you canāt stop it from doing it. so it basically randomly shifts by an hour and canāt be set to auto DST in your country.
As I warned several times above
Radio time control, with no offset to automatically set to local time is useless in Australia.
That is if you receive the signal!
In Brisbane, only can pick up the signal - if place my different Seiko clock in window… with back facing North
Placing clock in a window is not where most want to position their clock! And then it shows time in Japanš
Is the Radio wave working in Aus? Does it automatically switch between AEST and AEDT?
