You can customise the base model from the Apple site (with 18GB memory) with an additional 18GB, which is all this is. It is $4,099 from Apple.
But you can't choose 512 GB SSD there for M3 Pro (which also starts at 12 cores, BTW - and the listing here says 11).
Yes you can, go to:
Apple Store Link for base model
Scroll down and select 36GB Unified Memory as a +$600 option.
It's just not a base package but is customisable to this spec.
@seqo: All clear. I must have taken the wrong turn at some previous step. Thanks!
512GB ssd??
Yes.. made out of gold.. :)
Made out of gold apple to be precise
512GB SSD may be ok, $4k laptop is ok as well, but 512GB non upgradable SSD in $4k laptop does not sound like a good deal to me.
yep looks like its that time of year again WWDC is next month got a feeling they are going to announce M4 macbooks.
Does this have enough ram for my daily internet surfing and trolling activities?
probably got 35GB more than what you need in this one ;-)
It's ok for an entry to mid-level of trolling. It's Apple, so even 36GB of RAM may be enough.
nah need 37GB and up for advanced trolling, especially on Apple
Nah you got to spend another $1K to get it primed for all the ram facebook, ozb and reddit eats up.
36gb of Apple Unified Ramâ„¢ is equivalent to 72gb of Windows ram in terms of trolling capabilities.
seems the 24gb, 36gb now becomes the new 16 & 32?
Down from $4,099.00 according to the listing.
Something's wrong with it, however, because the combination of these specs is not available at Apple.
Btw, the listing is for M3 Pro, the title of the deal has M3.
