  • Now I've seen it all. Pirelli car tyre is cheaper than road bike tyre.

    • +1

Been that way forever? Unless your talking little bikes - 1000cc bikes, your looking at around $500 a tyre

      • +1

No man….I am talking about cycling tyre

        • +1

Wowsers! How much do you pay for a cycling tyre?

  • What's the Pirelli equivalent of a Michelin Pilot Sport 4S?

    • +1

      Gday!
The equivalent of the Pilot Sport 4S would be the Pirelli PZero.
      Have a look here:
      https://www.tyroola.com.au/tyre/pirelli/pzero/
      Any questions let me know!

    • +2

PZ4 to be specific is the closest Pirelli equivalent to 4S but in saying that they won't last as long as the Michelins
      https://www.pirelli.com/tyres/en-au/car/catalogue/product/ne…

      • Its not the equivalent of Pilot Sport 4s come in the size for my car, and P Zeros don't.

        • What size mate?

          • @tyroola: 195/50x15 for a Clio Sport. Ie, what I prioritise isn't quietness or long life but good performance.

      • Yea and the Michelins out perform in every aspect from what i've seen and heard

  • Does 10% CB still apply?

    • Yes, just bought it and CB tracked it straight after.

      • Does it include the fitting price too?

        • +1

No, CB was for the tyres price only.

      • Surely it gets rejected as not a listed code

    • @tyroola or @tightass can you please confirm?
PIRELLI15 is not listed on CashRewards site so I assume this means it will void the bonus 10% CB at the moment?
There is another promo of $150 back on 4 Pirelli tyres at the moment which would almost definitely track with CR.
That means, on a $1400 purchase it would be better to not use this code, get $150 off and then $140 CB, instead of the 15% $210 discount?

  • Around $200 per tyre @ 225/55/18 for these Pirelli models. What would you choose?

    • POWERGY
    • P8 FOUR SEASON
    • SCORPION VERDE ALL SEASON ECOIMPACT XL
    • Hey Brownsound,

A bit of tyre geek speak to help with a decision -

      • Pirelli Powergy: Recent addition to Pirelli's lineup, designed for safety and sustainability. It offers a balance of performance and efficiency, focusing on lower rolling resistance and reduced environmental impact.

      • Pirelli P8 Four Season: All-season tyre designed for year-round performance in various weather conditions. It provides a balance of performance, safety, and comfort in all seasons.

      • Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season EcoImpact XL:All-season tyre designed specifically for crossovers and SUVs. It emphasises fuel efficiency, lower CO2 emissions, and good performance in various weather conditions.

      • I've read that Powergy doesn't last as long as Cinturatos. The P7s I had on my Focus, in 2.5 years had done about 25k km and they were already close to being down to the marker. Pirellis don't seem to have good tread life from my experience.

        • +1

We need treadwear number reporting standards in Aus.

I only buy tyres that have the numbers advertised, otherwise they're off the options list.

          • @Oofy Doofy: Yeah that's why the Bridgestone exclusive Turanza Serenity Plus is appealing due to its 50k guarantee. Goodyear also have it on their Optilife range. But they don't seem to have the buy 3 get 4th free deal like Bridgestone have.

Which stores show the tread wear rating?

            • +1

@CVonC: If you are particularly interested in the treadwear rating, we can get this info for you for the majority of our listings. Just shoot our CS team a message with the tyre size and brand, and your postcode! EMAIL: [email protected]

    • Smaller car or small SUV for sure Powergy, bigger cars or big SUV stick with Scorpion

  • Doesn't stack with "Save $50/$100 on 4 tyres", so not really a deal for smaller/cheaper tyres.

For those that used Tyroola before - how good are their mobile fitters for wheel alignment and balancing?

Would it be better to go with local service station for fitting?

    • +1

Your local service station might be listed under there but it won't show up the name just the location if you are in no rush and really want top get a deal on Pirellis I suggest waiting for black Friday - MyCar when you pay for 2 and get 4 of any Pirelli tyres.

    • All our fitters have reviews attached, so you can easily check how other customers experiences have gone. We love the idea that you can have them come to your home or work and have your new tyres fitted while you get on with your day!

Our mobile fitters are all very experienced in fitting and balancing your tyres and some also add the additional option of wheel alignments.

  • Any way to find out how old these are before purchase

    • To answer my own question
Rang Tyroola and was told the Pirelli tyres I was interested in are less then one year old.
Only tyres marked as clearance are older stock.

    • Hey KMP, we can also give you the actual DOT of a particular tyre in most cases if this is a concern. Just let us know the size, and your postcode so we ensure we get you the accurate info!

      • Good to know……Thanks

  • I swear theres heaps of 20% off tyres at the moment. Search tyres of facebook, and youll start to see all the Tyre Ads and offers come through.

  • To quote Oprah: You get a tyre! You get a tyre!! Everyone gets a new tyre!!!

    • +3

Unless you’re giving away a set of free tyres, why would you even say that?

      • -1

        Why don’t you relax.

      • Rep must be an Oprah fan lol……….25% off or buy 3 get 1 free is essentially getting one tyre for free.
To be honest these are already discounted and if you include the free postage to your nearest fitment center its a pretty good deal.

        • Exactly! Good deals on tyres everywhere, no matter your choice of brand :)

  • +2

Why does Tyroola pretend to be cheap? Expensive fitting fees, tacked on warranty that you need to remove, and all with the additional drama of adding a middleman to what should be a simple process.

A lot of tyre shops will price match. Tyroola gives me $1150 fitted for Pirelli PZ4 245/40/18. Minus 15% $977.

Tempe $1000 for PZ4s, with no discount.
    Tempe $840 for Falken FK510s / Kumho PS71

No thanks. You’re $23 cheaper on an arguably worse offering that no one would choose given those 3 tyre options, and it warrants a deal?

    • +1

Not everyone has a Tempe down the road.

    • Hello Mungulz, we're always looking for ways to make things easier and more affordable for our customers, so we appreciate your feedback. Our optional Tyre Protect covers repairable and non-repairable punctures, fractures, cuts, and kerb damage, offering an extra warranty for those who choose to opt for it. Fitting can be a bit of a sticking point. While we can't directly control the fitting fees set by our partner fitters, we're always on the lookout for ways to offer the best value for our customers, such as this 15% Pirelli discount and our constant 'Special Deals' on our site. There you'll find offers that could save you up to $250 in cashback, enjoy discounts of up to 20%, take advantage of clearance deals, and even benefit from free fitting on selected tyres. Thanks for taking the time to bring this to our attention – it helps us keep improving.
