Not sure theres any other bargains here, your Pelican 1535 Air carry on case with padded dividers is apparently 20% off RRP and comes to $643.95. These are currently available on Amazon right now for $639 and thats with no discount.

The same case with no foam comes to $427.95…. but its available here for $417.70 at regular price.

Your Pelican Guardian MagSafe Case for iPhone 15 Pro Max is $55.95, but can be picked up from JBhifi for only $39.

The waterproof floating pouch might be the only bargain.

Even the waterproof floating pouch isn't a bargain if your buying 2 or more.
Just picked up a 2-pack from Amazon for just under $40 delivered.
And there's a 4-pack for $74.09 in XL which makes each unit even cheaper.
The cheaper 2/4pks are coming from US though.
Shipping is $13 for me in VIC or free pickup from Bayswater, Victoria.
Amazon kills this deal even for the single pack ones since their matching JB's price but free Prime shipping.

      • Thanks for this!

  • The waterproof pouch is good, used it a few times overseas.

Should have tested the waterproofing in the sea.

Yeah, in the sea is better than over seas 😂

    • Never needed a floating pouch in years of travel. Bought similar one on sale for mobile, but never used.

A Dry Sack is a much cheaper alternative for travels. Available in different sizes (0.5-50L).
      Keeps electronics, clothes, etc dry.
      Floated when fell in water.
Always travel overseas with 1 or 2.

I think you're missing the point, this you can use underwater for photos

        • Risky (potentially costly) to use for underwater photography!

          And not much "underwater".
Limited by IP68: freshwater max depth 1.5m for ~30min!

Same IP68 as 'waterproof' mobiles (iPhone 12 & up, Samsung Galaxy S21, Google Pixel 6, etc)

Wear & damage to pouch when using & travelling may not be apparent - decreasing waterproofing & increasing risk to mobile.

Most people would forget those limitations in use😜 Such as when snorkelling.

        • Usually spend hours at a time snorkeling.
Needing to take the mobile + pouch safely out of the water after 30 min max isn't likely to happen!

Not of use diving. 1.5m max.

And IP68 is not rated for salt water use. Should only use in fresh water. Which restricts its use further. In a swimming pool?

          Very restricted underwater use.

No wonder the manufacturer doesn't promote this for underwater photography!
          Instead its a "Floating Pouch".

          • @INFIDEL: Yeah you're right, the photos weren't amazing but I didn't go into it expecting DSLR quality either.

What dry sack would you recommended that's compact and where to buy it? Might give that a try next time around.

@neo: Any reputable brand (wouldn't trust Chinese cheapies).
Usually bought on sale at outdoor stores. Plenty online. Check reviews.

Have a lot of thin walled Sea to Summit brand - bought almost free from BCF with emailed $10 vouchers😉

Even bought cheap larger (20L) thick ones from Kmart - designed for harsher camping & kayaking.

Can choose very thin & light (eg 13L Sea to Summit 72g), or harder wearing thicker ones. Both work well, but around water - thick is safer. Can bag up thin ones inside thick outer one for added protection.

Choose a size larger than you need, & roll top down to give better protection.

On travels, I just take ~25L day pack + clip on thicker harder wearing 20L dry sack underneath. Plus pack cover.

Works well as can unclip dry sack for easy storage on carry-on flights. Or carry separately.

Use smaller thin, light dry sacks inside day pack to separate & protect belongings. Different colours are useful to find what you want.

Traveled on many 1 month overseas trips like that.
Travels lugging a 25kg bag were no fun. Travelling light made life much more enjoyable - in more than a decade of overseas travels.

  • small water proof bag is like $7 from bunnings and kmart
