    OH SOB!
I LITERALLY BOUGHT ONE OF THOSE YESTERDAY

    • +1

      Thanks for your sacrifice.

This wouldn’t have happened if ShopBack had put up the “Westpac Bonus offers tomorrow” banner!

        • They did put it up, but it wasn't on there.

    • buy another, then make another account and buy another to make up for it.

  • Good deal, bought one, thanks OP

    • Sadly you can't stack them :(

  • These work in coles and harris farms?

    • Can confirm Coles, 99% sure Harris Farms is valid too

      • Thanks

You literally wait up until midnight every day in the hope of a postable shopback? You’re a machine

    • +8

Nah, my sleeping schedule is just unhealthy.

      • Welcome to the club

        • Same!

So ok to use at Coles, Woolworths, IGA?

  • Are these annoying to use when you have a low value left? Like do you need to ask at checkout to split payment and know the exact amount left?

    • +1

I use the card memo to note down remaining balance. You can see the transaction history in the Samsung or Google wallet. Split payment is easy in Coles and Woolworths anyways.

    • +3

If you find it that annoying, use the card in round number amounts

Like $50 twice so the balance won't be a surprise

    • +1

Use self checkout and manually do a split

  • -1

Westpac payment declined. Plenty of balance. Trash bank.

    • Worked for me just now.

  • I want to use this card in store at Coles. Do I have to use a Google/Samsung/Apple Pay app on my mobile or is there another way?

    • -1

What’s preventing you from those? Let’s be honest if you don’t have any of those it’s pretty hard to believe in 2024.

      • +2

In case you've got root and lose Play Integrity. Getting to the checkout and realising PI has tripped again is like getting caught with your pants down.

      • I never needed them before. Looks like now I do?

        • +1

          Yes.

If you are in-store at Coles, you can practically only do card-present transactions. The only way you can do a card-present transaction with the prepaid Visa gift card in this deal is through Apple Pay, Google Wallet or Samsung Wallet.

In theory, you could try to do a card-not-present transaction at Coles (i.e. provide the card details), but in practice, you are going to have a very hard time trying to do this.

    < 100 left. Avoid disappointment.

    • Yes, don't fall for Shopback's scam "rewards remaining" promos

  • OMG Shopback DOES love Westpac afterall!

  • -1

The low remaining balance use is a PITA coz it works like a visa card.

Most people would have small left overs and can’t be stuffed to use it as a lot of the cash register staff don’t know how to do it.

I bought one and then found it hard to use up my $2.43

    • I use it to buy gift cards at Woolies.

    • +1

I haven't had an issue with checkout staff knowing how to split payment. But if you have issues just use a self checkout and split payment yourself.

    • +1

Uhhh supermarkets are probably the easiest place to use small balances given you can self checkout and self split payments

  • I dont see this on my account… i guess they decided i buy too many cards

  • Would this card by any chance work at 7/11 when purchasing fuel?

  • Woolworths gift card portal … can't use these cards to pay right?

    • +1

Probably not using the card directly, but I've had success in the past adding the card to my Paypal account and paying that way. That was with a Coles Mastercard gift card.

      • Just tried, can't add this card to paypal

        • +3

I am not surprised, because someone else recently confirmed it cannot be linked to a PayPal account.

To answer your original question, my answer is no.

          • The Woolworths Group gift card website will not process any payments from a Visa card that does not support 3-D Secure if you enter the card's details into the credit card section of the online checkout. Prepaid Visa gift cards (including ShopBack Supermarket Visa gift cards) are unable to support 3-D Secure, and will therefore be rejected.

          • Even if you were able to use a Visa card with no 3-D Secure support, the next issue is that the Woolworths Group gift card website should actually use MCC 5399 (Miscellaneous General Merchandise). That MCC is not officially permitted on the ShopBack Supermarket Visa gift card, and therefore Blackhawk Network (the gift card scheme owner) should reject any transactions from merchants using MCC 5399. (The Woolworths Group gift card portal previously used MCC 5411, but that changed around October 2023.)

          • As you just confirmed, the PayPal option is not possible, because ShopBack Supermarket Visa gift cards do not support PayPal.

  • Does anyone have the issue with adding the card to Apple Wallet? The error message is "Invalid card, check the information on your card and try again"

  • I just tried adding my card to Google Wallet (which I hadn't used before) and it failed with "Couldn't finish setting up tap to pay. Something went wrong while setting up your card. Try again or add another card." I tried again, with the same result.

Then I realized that NFC had not been enabled on my mobile. I enabled NFC, went to add the card again, and this time it succeeded. Coincidence?

    • I've never had any issue adding these to Google Wallet with NFC off.

But if it helped you overcome the error then all good 👍

  • Hey guys, made my purchase and did not receive my bonus cashback.
I have clicked the join button and have purcahsed with my valid Westpac card.
Below is the response from Shopback that I got when I wrote in:

Thank you for contacting ShopBack! I hope everything is going well for you.

Happy to assist further with this.

Upon reviewing the challenge progress, it appears that the challenge has already been fully redeemed prior to your cashback being tracked.

I understand that this can be disappointing but the challenge bonus is running in real-time and it is based on a first come first serve basis if your order was tracked after the challenge has been fully redeemed then you will not qualify for the bonus.

Hopes this clarifies, and do reach us if you have any other inquiries we'll be glad to assist.

    Take care and stay safe!

Could anyone advise what to do in this situation?
