I need a few boards of some Laminex (some compact laminate and foamed PVX) for a DIY project, but they’ll only sell to trades and every cabinet maker I’ve spoken to will only do it as part of a job.
Does anyone know an easy to work with reseller?

Laminex have a list of distributors on their site. You don't say where you are so best if you look it up yourself.

I’ve driven to laminex industries and done cash sales before.
Depending where you live I’d just go on google maps and look for “joinery supplies” most big cities will have these that do cash sales for sheet products
An offcut from a kitchen place?
Offer a case or 2 of beer.
Depending on how much you need or how large/small the pieces can be, I've just popped into kitchen manufacturers and ask if they have any scraps or offcuts.
There's one place I've been to a few times & they just point me to the large industrial bin (skip bin type affair) and I can rummage around. I've gotten some large, clean, new pieces. By large, I mean about 1000mm x 1200mm. And plenty of small pieces too say, 500mm x 700mm or smaller. Just lob in and ask "got any scraps?"
You're doing them a favour by emptying the bin.
