Setting up two spare bedrooms (King and Queen Bed) looking for recommendations on a matrress that wont break the bank. Budget of roughly 300-500 each.
Couple options my partner sent are for ZZZ Atelier and Giselle. Beds will be lucky to be used maybe once a month.

If you don't mind buying privately there are plenty of BNIB/as-new/hardly-used quality mattresses in-a-box around. I've acquired both Koala & Emma Sleep this way.
I wonder why someone would sell these brands cheaply if the mattresses were new as they could have returned for a full refund?
If someone keeps all the packaging and uses a mattress protector how would you know how old it is?Some people buy them for guest rooms, others have used them short-term. I'm happy to buy any used foam mattress if the cover is clean. Some brands have removable covers so you can inspect the foam itself. Some of the 100-night returns used to get listed on eBay but I think this is no longer a thing.
I've had a ZZZ Atelier for 5 years now and it's been good. Keep looking for an excuse to buy a better one but we both sleep fine on it (and I'm 100kg). Recently put a mattress topper on it because it was starting to go a bit, to get another 12 months out of it before replacing.
For a spare bed, it'd be more than good enough. Just wait for a good Ebay sale.
Otherwise, looking for as new in a Vinnies or somewhere. That's where all the tried and returned mattress in a box's go.
I would go even cheaper and look at ebay mattresses, get ones with at least 32cm thickness and with a nice thick pillow top. should only cost around 200-300.
Ikea? At least you can try them in store
