[Resolved] TopCashback Still Not Honouring Missing Cashback from over 2 Months Ago

Hey guys,

I ordered a pizza from PizzaHut on the 23rd of March 2024 using the 80% TopCashBack promo here:

I used the TopCashBack app to make the purchase so they can't say I had adblockers or something enabled. After a few days the order still wasn't tracking so I logged a job for a missing cashback claim. I filled out all the relevant information including the date, order details and an expected cashback of $9.20.

On the 17th of May Shopback had a 70% PizzaHut promo so I took advantage of TopCashBack's:"Highest Cashback Guarantee" policy and logged a claim for it which they accepted.

Last week they got back to me and are now gaslighting me saying that the missing claim I logged on March the 23rd is for the Highest Cashback Guarantee claim I put in on the 17th of May.

Here was their response:

"21 May 2024
The following cashback insertion has been allocated to your TopCashback account, with respect to this Missing Cashback Claim. Please allow this to progress to ‘Payable’, and when happy to do so, please close this claim.

Event Date Cashback Amount Purchase Amount
17 May 2024 $8.14 $11.52

If the cashback amount is incorrect, please reply by posting us a message and we will look into this for you.

I hope that we have been successful in resolving this claim for you."

As you can see the date and amount are dfferent to what I put the claim in for. It sounds like they've done nothing to follow up on my missing cashback claim with Pizzahut and are "resolving" the claim by using another transaction in relation to the Highest Cashback Guarantee claim I put in 2 months later.

    Only buy the pizza because you want the pizza. Cashbacks are a bonus not a guarantee.

    Getting this worked up about $9 is not worth it.

    Just consider it a $9 loss. The mental health benefit of moving on is worth much more.

    How much time have you spent on this so far? Is your time valuable?

  • My cashback from the 22 March promo was confirmed on 8 April but has never become payable. Same issue?

  • I've got problems with TC too. Mine is in the realm of $150!

    Bought a travel insurance policy that had a cashback of 50%. When it didn't go through they wanted proof of purchase to submit to the vendor.
    I have followed them up twice in the last 2 months but can't get a word out of them :(

    Hi @Techie4066, please note TopCashbackAU has three stages of tracking: Pending, Confirmed (Locked), Payable. There's an explanation here. So if you're at Confirmed, that's a good thing. Payable will follow as soon as the merchant transfers the funds to us. I've also asked the team if they can look at renaming the Confirmed status to Locked, which would make it a lot clearer for members. Thanks :)
