Fitbit Charge 6 or Garmin Vivosmart 5

Wanting to buy my first fitness tracker.
Essentially both are same price but I believe Fitbit requires subscription to get all app inclusions.

Mainly want a tracker to;
Track workouts (mainly heart rate while working out)
Track sleep quality

Looking at these two due to the reputation or accuracy.

TIA

    Fitbit is now pretty much integrated with Google and requires you to link your data to a Google Account. So decide how you feel about that as well

      Google already knows everything about me

  • What sort of workouts? The smaller band type trackers arent awesome at tracking heartrate for weights, and outdoor cycling is also hard due to wrist position.
    Running HR is easier. Pretty much any newish Garmin will be fine unless you're going deep into data.

    Check on DCRainmaker for reviews.

  • Yeah just look at some YouTube and online reviews of both. The free Fitbit is fine, you don't need premium.

    Not familiar with that Garmin. With the Fitbit, you can't upload non-gps activites to Strava, even manually, if that is important to you. They are great for general steps, sleep, hr tracking and cals with a long battery.
