The previous KFC hack has been patched on iOS (but apparently its still working in Android when I tried it on my wife’s phone later on that day).

However, I found the work around accidentally when getting frustrated trying the previous hack. Works on both iOS and Android.

Here you go:

  1. Open your KFC apps and navigate to Menu > Shared Meals.
  2. Add any of the Shared Meals by pressing Add to Order.
  3. Keep pressing Add to Order until it glitches out, and the screen will go to Cart automatically. You should see 2 or 3 shared meals in cart.
  4. Remove shared meals from your cart.
  5. Go back to Menu and you will see Add-On pop up. Add any Add-On as you wish.
  6. Go back to cart and check out.

Note: you can add up to multiple 4x Piece Original Chicken and modify to Hot and Spicy as well.

    Seems they've killed the hack, removing the shared meal also deletes the add ons 😩

      Are you sure you are doing it right? You are only supposed to add the add-ons after already removing the shared meal.

    Hack still worked and I ordered 5 tenders for 7.95 and a burger just checked and it’s 3 tenders in the bag :/ so basically $7.95 for 3 tenders which is the normal price

            @Saku-kurata: I got stuck on step 3, and it never jumped to the cart page page. I pressed the add to cart button for more than 60 seconds.

              @drl: Ensure to only add shared meals and tap repeatedly fast. By 2-3 seconds should work right away.

            @PissLUR: Remove shared meal before adding the add on, once removed go back to menu and add on menu should reappear if done correctly.

    Not working for me! When adding to order it takes me straight to the Add On menu, then if I select Add On item, it'll take me onto the Cart. Removing the main shared meal from Cart will empty it and take me back to normal Menu, not Add On menu. On iOS 17.5.1

    iOS version 24.9.2 was showing an update nag for me that had no way to close, however I managed to get past it and it hasn’t returned (yet).

    For anyone else that gets it, I was able to bypass by turning my data off right after the splash screen when the app hits the normal main menu (the update pop up appears almost immediately after if you don’t), then back on when it says it can’t connect. It let me make an order fine after that. Don’t know how long it will continue to work.

    I found a new method of getting the hack which works on the KFC website ordering. Proof: https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/340206/113850/hack.jpg
    The method involves performing a replay attack on the add to cart request sent to the server.
    Simplified steps:
    1. Open KFC website (KFC.com.au/menu)
    2. Add a feast to cart
    3. Open browser developer tools network tab (Ctrl + Shift + I)
    4. Add the add on you want to cart
    5. Identify the network request that corresponds to adding the add on to cart (POST request, URL ends with /line-items)
    6. Go to cart and remove the feast, it will remove the add on as well.
    7. Go back to browser developer tools and replay the request identified in step 5
    8. Refresh the cart page and the add on should be in there
