Hi seasoned travelers,
TLDR: Are there any domestic travel insurance policies that will cover for pre-paid tuition/course fees lost due to unexpectedly unable to travel (ie. illness)?
Long version: I need to travel interstate to do a 4-day course directly related to my work in about 4 months time. It costs about ~$4k in total with materials, to be paid upfront. Are there any domestic travel insurance policies that will cover for un-recoverable tuition fees if something unexpected happens and I couldn't travel to attend (ie COVID / Illness)? It's too much money for me to risk, even if the risk is just small.
Many thanks.
Yeah, no, covid essentially demolished this business model, I was in a large insurance company when they were underwriting CFAR-based PDS's, and it wasn't far away from getting flagged as gambling/lotto.
You're betting against weather, natural disasters, terrorism, COVID like pandemic.
