Recommendation for Economical Wireless Headphone for Making Calls

Just wondering if anyone has wireless headphone they can recommend that is good to make calls.

I bought noise cancelling recently from soundcore that ended up being fail. Everyone complains the voice is too faint.

Sub $100 suggestion would be great

Sony WI-C100, i prefer these style over the earbuds as I find earbud style mic is too far away to have a clear voice unless i talk so loud everyone around me can hear me.
With the over neck ones you can place the mic right under your chin without talking excessively loud and the other person can still hear you clearly, oh these are also awesome for music with an equalizer app and have very good battery life, oh and as a bonus its not as easy to lose

    • Thanks. This would be perfect but I need over ear ones. I just can't get these style to stay in the ear :)

Bought recently and am extremely happy with the sound quality, ANC/isolation and also the call quality. Buds stay in my ears like glue and are very comfortable to wear. Only downside is there's no multipoint but you can't win at everything, especially at this price point.

Like you I've been through many cheap Chinese buds - Soundpeats, Taotronics, even some replica Airpods, and all were unusable for calls. People always complained that I'm either too soft or my voice is drowned out by background noise.

No issues whatsoever with my new ones - been using it for work calls, outdoor calls, teams meetings.

    • Thanks. I bought these. Let's see how it goes.

For calls, any cheap pair of wired headphones with an inline microphone will probably beat most wireless options.
Check Dankpods on youtube for evidence of this, he always does microphone review tests when looking at headphones, whether it's expensive stuff or junk he destroys on camera.
But his overall conclusion is that the expensive wireless stuff can't beat junk with a wire.

For a wireless recommendation, I've spent many hours on the phone with Airpods and they sound great. Voice is picked up well and background noise is silenced. Plus the open sounding ones are great for knowing how much to regulate the volume of your own voice.
I still sometimes carry wired sets around though, because in public you can't whisper a private conversation into your own ear.

But when possible, I prefer to just use my phone on speaker. I've found I can even play computer games through desk speakers, with my phone on the desk in front of me, and somehow it doesn't pick up the game noise.

    • Thanks for the tip. I'll try my existing wireless with wired audio cable

  • something with a Boom mic

  • Sony WH-CH520

it's on ear, more than over ear. I can vouch for these though, quite amazing IME.
