Im looking to buy a Nikon SB-910 to use as a master unit/flash
I see that DWI has one of the cheapest prices around
I also know that they have mixed reviews from ozbargain members
I have never purchased anything from them , so is it just their phone department that is bad or is the whole brand name not worth the risk of buying from?

I thought about ebay before but Im not sure how warranty works in the future if it purchase through ebay
You will pay $20.00 more for the same lens if you purchase via eBay Store. In the last 2 weeks, i ordered Nikon Prime Lens and a Nikon SB 710 Speedlight from DWI purchasing each item individually, i received 5 days from date of order, using the standard free delivery option, as the first order was my first order from them, i had to very myself. I was sceptical about from them but after 2 purchases from DWI, i am happy to purchase from DWI again.
They used to be good. Now, not so much.
Ordered NEX 5N from ebay, buy it now, told 'not in stock', then told 'pricing error' — which is not a legitimate reason on ebay.
Ordered camcorder from their website, told 'not in stock', will be 2 weeks. Two months later, I cancelled the order.
This is just my story, and I have never complained about DWI before on ozbargain; I'm sure there are many other stories from other members.
Your risk, you might have more luck.
many similar stories on whirlpool… they've really gone downhill over the last year…
I haven't bought a camera, but bought a phone from them. No complaints about the quality, but it took them 2 weeks to process the order after I had made payment and paid for express shipping. Lesson learnt that even if the item says it is in stock, call up to verify it is in stock.
yes. bought twice, photography items lens. range about $500-700 items, fast delivery too.
check ebay they have ebay store, sometimes cheaper $10-20 i dont know why.
tips:
once you decide of item you want to buy, call first to confirm stock (make sure twice), then straight away click buy and complete the order.
