Asus TUF Gaming AX6000 Dual Band WiFi 6 Extendable Gaming Mesh Router Powered by Quad Core 2.0 GHz Processor OFDMA Ai Mesh and Ai Protection powered by Trend Micro

They have other routers which you may be able to price beat at Officeworks. Personally I used price beat on the Asus DSL-AX82U

  • MediaTek chipset

  • Anyone can suggest a good modem with this

$399 is not a deal. This has been under $300 many times as per previous deals.

price has gone up have you looked around? the AX4200 is around $300

      • Have you?
Rog rapture ax6000 $273 on Amazon fulfilled by Germany. I'm aware 2.4ghz throughput might be lower than local but still comparable.

        • i guess theres 2 ways to look at it, international uk/germany stock on amazon is def cheaper. i personally read of the issues and generally support Aus suppliers/retailers.

A good deal is a good deal though. whats the best power plug/adapter solution for international stock?

@dreamshifta: I picked up AU transformers off ebay with matching specs.

If you get the right models with merlin support you can change the region back to aus

FWIW I just got an AX4200 from Amazon Germany was at least $120 cheaper than anything in Aus and arrived in less than 2 weeks. Needed an international power adapter. Works great.

  • What would be a good extender for XT8?

I've got one of these coming from Amazon Germany

    https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B09MG9MDB5/ref=ppx_yo_d…

They go for ~$599 here. Yes I'm aware of possible issues with WiFi power output but I'll be running Merlin on it and happy to make the necessary modifications to ramp up the output if required. My place isn't huge anyway.

    • whats the best power plug/adapter solution?

      • You just need an international travel adapter of some sort with an Aussie male plug, it doesn't need to be anything fancy. The voltage is compatible.

  • Officeworks don’t sell the router listed by OP to get a price match. (Asus TUF Gaming AX6000 Dual Band WiFi 6 Extendable Gaming Mesh Router)

  • amazon has price matched to $409 (slightly cheaper if you account for shipping)
