Found this whilst looking for a Zenbook for a friend - about a buck cheaper than any other on Static Ice BUT free delivery so a good bargain for those after one absolute mutha of an Ultrabook.
It's not the top-of-line Zenbook - that's around the $1990 range but this is still a beast. That particular model has a 256ssd and i7 processor but this will do for most.
Looked up the model number, it seems to be 1080p.
Another computer store in melbourne has it slightly cheaper.
It doesn't have Win8 like this one but, yes, it would be cheaper if you were to buy it and install Win8 over it.
One price yet lists the specs for at least 3 different models. Pretty sloppy.

Win8 is the advertised o.s in the print version of the same product from estore so it should be Win8. If not, then it is false advertising.

It's cheap for the model. I'm not saying that it is cheap for the specs, I'm saying it is cheap for that particular model.
How is this a bargain ? I was looking at this model about 3 months ago and it was cheaper than this (unless prices have increased since then).
Are you confusing it with the 1600x900 resolution older model maybe? That was the UX31E
