Just a general curiosity question.
When I was younger we used to goto IKEA regularly, however the 'flat pack' thing & the poor quality of the stuff we bought from there meant we stopped. The furniture was OK for a couple of years but fell apart.
I haven't been there in years. Is it still popular?
1) I grow a hernia on my forehead trying to make sense of an IKEA receipt.
2) I grow another hernia getting home and trying to make sense of the assembly instructions
Don't think I've bought anything from them in the last 15~20 years to be honest.
A lot of what I've bought originally has been relatively hard wearing and stood the test of time and because of this, there's been no need to either replace it add. I gather this has changed recently (quality of products). That said, a lot of the stuff I bought was very basic, shelves, display units, etc.
I go regularly for their delicious balls.
Going to buy some cabinets in Ikea, wondering when the financial year sale start.
Quality of products has gone down significantly, especially timber products.
