Then you’re using too much water, problem solved
I eat rice daily mate lol
I eat rice thrice daily mate :D but yeah, he/she's funny.
Weird flex, but OK.
I'm not about to spend over 2 hours each day cooking rice as suggested by OP
I've got this and its pretty good for the price. We use it for hotpot aswell hahaha
Capacity: 7 cups
Raw or cooked?
As my user name suggests I eat a lot of rice. These are great. I’ve put many of them in landfill. Once the coating starts to flake. Snag a new one for practically nothing.
your user name suggests significant consumption of wasabi, this is a rice cooker dont think 2 go very well together. :)
Not sure anyone snorts or eats straight wasabi. Mostly consumed as a condiment on rice dishes
Love real Wasabi. The died green horseradish from sushi places is no good.
@singingwolf: That’s where it’s at.
Been using mine regularly for 6 years
Used this Rice cooker previously and used to fail every 3-4 months. Kmart was happy to issue a refund and got a brand new one immediately. Was tired of doing this circus. Eventually got a Breville Rice Cooker and never looked back since then.
Guaranteed to break within 3 uses. Gone through 5 of these.
I think it's hit/miss :D if you're lucky, yours will last years like many other posters.
keep trying? it's within warranty period afterall.
I've had mine for 2yrs. I use it once every fortnight
Yeah mine's turning 7 now with everyday use. What more to ask for a $10 rice cooker. Keep buying expensive ones.
Mine lasted 2 weeks
Had ours for about 4 years now and gets used 2-3 times a week. Not a single issue.
My partner is filipina, so it means rice every day from one of these. Now I know nothing about different rice and how it is cooked, she is the picky one in this regard, and it is perfectly fine. She prefers it to cooking on the stove.
I think people hating on it are just trying to justify their $200 rice cooker which does the same job.
Tiger Pressure Cooker or Cuckoo Pressure cooker or Anko Rice Cooker
Which one will take the lead in cooking the perfect rice.
Just bought
Wife didn’t approve
I’ll be in the doghouse
But I’ll have rice too
Anko haiku

Says out of stock :(
For those with OnePass, is the delivery free on this one?
Got one, thanks lol
I bought this rice cooker when I arrived in Australia 2019. It lasted up until last month and just bought the same one as a replacement. best bang for the buck I've bought in australia ever. lol
I bought a toaster when I came here in 2018, it was 10$, used almost every day 😂
I have tried hard to kill it. Even the plastic has some melting marks because I put a bread on top of it when hears the chassis lol
Mine is going strong after 4 years.
not worth it, even if it is cheap. think about it, its cheap for a reason.
Nah man, these last a long time. Much longer than G-rection… ;)
I bought one of these about 8 years ago to take on a camping trip and we're still using it. it gets used at least once a fortnight.
The non stick coating hasn't flaked like others have said, just don't wash it with rusty steel wool and you'll be fine.
Rice cooker on a camping trip - hard core rice eater!
This is the way….
Still going strong after 5 years .. cooking nasi lemak, nasi biryani , porridge , chicken rice , coconut rice , and yellow rice.
Do yourself a favour and get a good rice cooker
Been using this Anko Rice Cooker almost everyday for about 2 years without issue. Bought a second one for my Japanese tenants to use and it's working just fine.
They probably sell a truck load of these at $10 and you can't please everybody.
Thank you to all who warned others about this house cooker.
Tip: dont wash raw rice inside this rice cooker so that the non stick coating will last longer.
For the first couple of weeks, it stunk the house out with a plastic burning smell. Then was OK.
Uncle Roger approved?
Mine has got no non stick coating left on it, can't imagine where it's gone but rice tastes better now
Rice cooked using the absorption method is always sticky and soggy.
I prefer to wash and then soak rice for an hour, and then steam it over a pot with no lid on the rice for an hour. Just a piece of cloth on top. The lack of lid stops the steam condensing and making the rice soggy. It takes a long time to cook but the result is great.
