    It seems DoorDash is angry with me. I haven't received an email from DoorDash for close to a month now since I contacted them over a Pizza.

        DoorDash support now has bots to handle requests as I received this nice email from them after I used their support which mentions the word "Automated"

        Also the Pizza I ordered. I never got to eat it. It was cold on delivery even tho I paid the extra $4 to have it expressed delivered to me so $18 for the Pizza + $4 Express delivery with service fees and the driver decided to take his time delivering my pizza. Contacted support and all I got back was $6 in credits… so I lost over $20. Of course I was pissed off as I wasn't happy with the refund so I contacted them multiple times and all I got was bots constantly copying and pasting the same sentences.

        DoorDash support used to be great for me too. They have gone downhill.

          Yeah. It's not worth it anymore. I stopped using UberEats for similar reasons. Might have to do the same for DoorDash.

            @sb9: As much as I would of loved to heat up the pizza but I don't have a pizza tray and there's no way I'm having Microwave Pizza that is disgusting and besides I paid for a hot pizza or at least warm/hot not a cold pizza and the point of express was to have it delivered directly to me. I had no choice but to toss the entire pizza away… but man was DoorDash support BS.

            At the time the restaurant replied to my review and apologized for the cold pizza… something I never got out of DoorDash themselves.

            You pay for an order and they give you like a 20-30% refund while making you lose 70-80% of your cash. I'd love to know how this is legal??
            It's like if you pay for let's say… a piece of furniture at full price and it gets delivered to you broken that's what it feels like.

              @RocketToSpace: lol so after my original reply to you, I ordered breakfast from GYG via Doordash, the wife wanted it, despite my hesitations.
              Delivery estimate was for say 10am, then ended up being 20 minutes later due to the driver being assigned another delivery at a completely different resturant a few kms away, then having to deliver that one first.
              The driver confirmed this, he was lovely, just doing what the app tells him to do.

              I messaged Doordash and told them this is why I am closing my account, and then closed my account.

                @theguyrules: I was unlucky again. After I made that comment yesterday I decided to order myself Red Rooster.

                It was picked up pretty quickly and delivered quickly too… the issue being I never got my order. I got a notification saying my food was delivered but it was not at my address. There was no photo taken where it was dropped off so I'm thinking the driver delivered my order and then took it for himself.

                I was lucky enough to get a complete refund on this order from DoorDash but they refunded it in credits which I didn't mind. Had to make another red rooster order after being refunded but didn't order from the same one and instead chose a different red rooster. This one took over an hour to be delivered but I did get this one.

                Couldn't SMS or Call the dasher to ask where he dropped off my original order as I had no phone credit and he wasn't accepting messages through the app. All drivers should be accepting messages through the app…

              @RocketToSpace: Like I said, I understand your frustration. I agree that it's a legitimate complaint and you should get a full refund.

              I just disagree with the idea that you "had no choice but to toss the entire pizza away" or "couldn't eat it" (italicised for emphasis)

              Unless it's arriving hours late, it would've been safe to eat and probably pretty good after being warmed up again.

              I would've thought most OzBargainers would've been fine with reheated pizza but apparently the negs on my last comment say otherwise!

    I received the email yesterday and expirary date is 16th June. So looks like it is phased approach with users getting this deal at different times valid for 2 weeks.
