China Airlines is Skyteam, maybe someone is up for a status run.

Still a decent deal giving Melb-Syd is $500 one way in business at the cheapest it gets (and often much more)

Just because you're not into fancy stuff.. You just can't neg the deal

Its opinions like this that caused us ending up with craps in Australia.

"Why drive a Ferrari to work? Its only a 30min journey. Just stick to a Corolla!"
"Why eat lobster for dinner? Its just to fill up the stomach anyway. Just eat Macca!"
"Why stay in a 5 start hotel? Its just for sleeping anyway. Just stay in a tent!"
      …..etc etc etc.

No wonder US and EU gets all the beat stuff.

What is “premium business class” and is there also economy first class? 🤔

I’d like two tickets in steerage please.

    • I agree pick one…
China Airlines has both Premium economy and business class on this flight across the Tasman. Which one is it?

      • yes

      • It says Business Class on their website for the starting price of $699

    • I think thats how CI calls their A350/777 business class. Just like how BR calls their flagship business class "Royal Laurel Class". They have some crappy business class on their A330 and narrow bodies. Its to differentiate between those crappy and these longhaul flagship business class.

    That sounds like terrible value!

  • 180 fully flat ergonomic seating

So there's no seats and you're forced to lie on the floor?

    • +1

      jv?

      • I'd be a terrible imposter, as there was not a single word bolded.

  • +7

With reverse herringbone seats these are some of the most comfortable J seats in the sky. Blows QF and VA out of the water on trans-tasman route, that's for sure.

    • +2

Exactly! The only other trans-Tasman business class cabin that comes close to this is A380 that Emirates flies from Sydney to Christchurch.
