I am trying to compile a list of classifieds sites in Australia where posting ad is free.
I did a Google search and found a few. Any suggestions for good classified sites?

I use http://quicksales.com.au it has free classifieds no matter what the price. You can also sell stuff directly on the site (ie have the buyer pay you directly).
There is also:
http://tradingpost.com.au is not bad but that is only free for items under $500.
http://newsclassifieds.com.au is pretty cruddy, it is free for 7 days only and must be under $500.http://www.allclassifieds.com.au (ACT area) - $15 for photo, otherwise free
This should go into the Wiki
They are already in the Wiki but no one cares to read it there…
There is a free new one, this guys about to start advertising the site big time

www.free-classifieds-australia.com.au
This is optimised for full browsers and MobileThanks OP. These are great.
http://www.couriermail.com.au/weekendshopper Free under $500.
http://www.craigslist.com.au
http://www.cracker.com.au
http://www.tradingpost.com.au/ Free under $500
That all i've got for now. But it seems like most people don't bother advertising on anything other than gumtree/ebay unless you're selling a car or an unique item.
