It's not a DX lens, so can be fitted into a full frame body without that horrid vignetting

*** Good investment, for anyone who is going to full frame in the future ***

General specs:
Wide-Angle 24-70mm Full-Frame Zoom Lens
Built-In Image Stabilization
Ultrasonic Silent Drive for Silent AF
LD, Aspherical Elements for Sharp Images

You really need to change that "." to a ","

    I read $1.035 not $1,035 lol

    • It often happens to me, got confused when writing thousand separator as I'm originally from Indonesia and we use . (dot) as thousand separator and comma as decimal.

    I GOT EXCITED :(

  • Great price.. Much better than other grey importers.

These guys also provide TRS receipts for anyone traveling overseas in the near future..

  • Great price for a very good lens(I've read a review at photozone).
Do I need to upgrade to a full size sensor ?
So tempting but still not within my budget (I meean a camera body not a lens).

    • Hi,
One of the advantage of full frame, is you will get rid off the crop factor from the lens (if using DX body)
Wide angle lens suffer in DX body :)

      cheaper alternative:
you could try semi pro dx ie. D300s, or D7000
if they are still to heavy for your pocket, D90 still can deliver

  • I've been wanting this lens for a while so just bought the Canon version.

    • Good on you, mate.
      Do you have a canon 5D ?

    • Didn't think there was a Canon version.Do you have a secret supplier?
Going by the price of their new, non-IS version it would have to cost well over $3K

Tamron have been bringing out some awfully good lenses lately.
A new 70-200 f2.8 VC looks to be a winner too!
