Yakima Nx18 Roof Pod Weight

Does anyone own a Yakima NX18 roof pod and have actually weighed it yourself to see how much it weighs when empty?
Yakima AU website says 19.5kg. USA websites say 24kg. Yakima AU over email says its 24kg, but - i'm hoping 19.5kg is the actual correct value when physically weighed.

my current pod is a bit small, and on one place it said 24kg, and another it said 18kg. I weighed it and it was 18kg. in both cases it was official Thule documentation !

I weighted it by putting a strap around the middle and lifting it with luggage scales.

    It's possible that the higher weights included it's packaging. Does the difference of ~5kg actually matter practically?

      yes if I'm actually trying to stay within the rated roof limits

        Do another weigh in on a set of bathroom scales if you have them, to double check if your luggage scales were accurate. I highly doubt a difference of 5kg is going to make a difference on your roof. I imagine the stated roof limits will be extremely conservative.
