Close to the ATL when you purchase 2
Price is slightly more expensive if you only purchase 1 ($259.35) vs $234.35 for buying 2 due to coupon code.

Hope the charger works out. I only use victron ones because they have Bluetooth connectivity and history.
Yeah but they cost more than the battery lol
How is the charging speed with that one? I have a quite similar looking charger from Ali, and when in the the LiFePO4 mode, the charging current seems to be only 1.5A.
Not as good as the 200ah gentrax deal but seems decent! Any comments about quality of battery? Need two battery cases for housing these?
Also is there any advantage to having 2x 100ah vs 1x 200ah?
From the listing> "As much as possible, only connect batteries in series or parallel during emergency situations"
so a single 200 would be preferred for a 12v single installation….
You can use it separately as 2 batteries? LoL
BMS does not support parallel or series from what i recall, although some sites falsely claims that you can.
Yeah I'm thinking whether there's any advantage where you can use one and set the other on charge when out camping. But the need for 2 battery boxes would push price a bit (unless it's easy to swap out battery and reconnect wiring - dunno I've only been an esky man - been waiting for these to drop in price before going for the camping fridge!
I must admit I am yet to understand why the BMS don't allow connection in Parrallel. The connection is to the +/- terminals, and the battery has no idea what is happening past that. If the external voltage is higher, the battery charges. If the voltage is lower, the battery discharges. The BMS monitors the individual cells, balances and shuts down on over/under voltage of cells or overall battery.
So how does it know/what does it care if it is connected in parrallel with another battery?
You can. Any battery can. However, the question is there any protection around eddy currents.
With basic detection protection, the bms will keep cutting out on 1 battery, drain the other battery instead. Imbalance occurs, early failure.
Without protection - it drains both batteries and your battery becomes the north pole /s.
Thus that's why the BMS is important for connecting in //.
@zeomega: Thanks. Been burrowing into this on more detail - lithiums are definitely a different beast to lead acids
Yep his and hers…..
I've got one of these batteries from an earlier deal, I've found it to happily exceed my expectations. I ran a few tests on receieving it, and I estimated it to have around ~120ah of actual capacity (likely to differ for each battery). I've been using it for a couple months on camping trips to power LED lighting & a 75L fridge, it's had no issues at all. Running with a 250W solar & haven't seen it dip below 90% the whole trip.
Would definitely purchase again.
How long does it last without solar connected up?
That would depend on what your setup & draw is. I found the fridge draws on average ~1a, and the LEDs are similar, around ~1a. If I used the fridge 24/7 & 4 hours of LEDs a day, that’s around 3-4 days.
similarly. I paid $230~ for the battery. If it lasts me 2 to 3 years of usage. I'll be very happy.
Code is not working for me
eBay's targeted unique code starting with SNSMD9—-. If you don't see it in "My Summary", you are not targeted.
Single one for me was $249.35 with the code for me.
My "100Ah" AGM is not dealing with this Sydney weather!
Got one for 249, i don't have ebay plus, put the code in on the mobile app, it bought it down to like 260, then i put the one in the page in and it bought it down to 249… going camping in a couple of weeks, so will be perfect to have a second battery.
For anyone wanting one cheap, if using Afterpay can now get one for the low price of $ 233.41 delivered
using code: APAY10 https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/155258088282
Cheers! Got one
So far, these Gentrax are proving to be the best value around if buying under $250 delivered.
Got one for my sister, was impressed after testing so got one for myself. Now one more to be able to
run two in parralel which will give me 200Ah Max current draw, good for a 2000W inverter if needed.
Instructions say not to run them in parallel?
@wisc: Depends where you read and what you believe is possible,….or not.
For what its worth ive been using this charger which works fine so far. Been using it for a couple of weeks
