Car Damaged Whilst Being Unbogged

Hi, my car got stuck, got pulled out with a rope by another car however my car got damaged due to it, looks like structural damage and costly accessories got damaged. The back bumper is also damaged. It was at a national park, on unsealed gravel road. Essentially got stuck on a bump with all 4 wheels up.

I have comprehensive insurance and just wondering if I'm covered?

Or if there is something I should look for in the insurance to see if I'm covered

          • @michael9865: So it doesn't have a lift, upgraded suspension tyres?

Sounds like case of pot calling the kettle black

            • @Mikinoz: When did i say my car is modified, where do you come up with these lies.

              • @michael9865: Thanks for this post. it reminds, me you really cannot reason with insanity

                • @Mikinoz: Tell me one thing i said that wasn't true.

You just keep making stuff up, lying and belittling people, instead of having a civilised conversation like a grown man.

                  Grow up.

                  • @michael9865: Okay your car is better than any other 4wd, how's that?

                    • @Mikinoz: No it's not lying again.

I said it is the best when it comes to stock 4wd vehicles from 2020 to to 2024 up to $100k.

I did not research the expensive defender, ram and other cars and the older cars so am not sure about that.

                      • @michael9865: I'll just leave this here, one of your earlier comments

It easily beats out every other stock vehicle in
Australia when it comes to off roading.
It's basically the only vehicle you off road with

                        • @Mikinoz: Well when you have to keep repeating yourself, you tend to forget to include everything each and every time.

"I said it is the best when it comes to stock 4wd vehicles from 2020 to to 2024 up to $100k.

This is the exact statement that i have been trying to say. No one have proven me incorrect in this statement.

There was one person who just talked about motor being more powerful and that is not the most important thing when it comes to off roading

                          • @michael9865: Thanks for this post. it reminds, me you really cannot reason with insanity

                              • @michael9865: Thanks for this post. it reminds, me you really cannot reason with insanity

                          • @michael9865: Ok, so what in particular makes your XSR better than the other stock vehicles?

                            • @Euphemistic: Bash plates from front to back, twin locked, front and rear rated recovery points, steel bull bar and steel rear bar, thermal cooling system to last longer when off roading, etc.
I have only mentioned off roading stuff though which makes it a better off roader

To me the main thing is twin locked and bash plates, I could not find a vehicle under 100k that had those come as standard.

I am happy to be proven wrong though.

                              • @michael9865: Here let me fix it for you.

Isn't happy to be proven wrong lol

                                • +1

@Mikinoz: Just because you make stuff up and can't actually contribute to a civilised conversation doesn't make whatever you say correct.

Go away and let the grown ups talk

                              • @michael9865: Ill give you the front diff lock as being an advantage, but other than that its nothing really special. Front steel bumper doesnt appear to improve approach angles so that not going to help off road.

"Bash plates"? Have you looked under to confirm 'front to back'? Id be surlrised if ita more than engine and gearbox. No idea how strong they are either, but my dmax has steel plates underneath too. They call them protection plates in the marketing fluff but they are too thin to do anything much. They've already been bent out of shape so they're getting replaced soon.

Lets go for a drive and see who goes further.

                                  @Euphemistic: Yeah definitely happy too.

The ones on the xsr are thick and do go all the way to the back. They are actual bash plates, surprised the heck out of me. The bash plates probably saved the car more than 10 times now due to the amount of off roading and unnamed tracks i try.

There is a muddy track about 2 hour drive from Melbourne and where all the vehicles which didn't have a front locker on got stuck which is what that 20k bet will be on.

I'm also happy to show you where i got stuck as you will understand when you see it.

But happy to try any track you desire.

It also comes with a snorkel aswell standard.

But yeah if you find any other vehicle that has actual bash plates and twin locked, under 100k let me know as that is the main reason i chose a xsr.
