    7.2L?
I would prefer Healthy Choice 30Liter Digital Multi - Function Air Fryer Oven Loaded with a rotisserie fork set, rotisserie handle, oven rack, airfryer basket, baking pan, sold at Amazon for $189.
Myers sell the same under Kitchen Couture brand, but identical in all features, except Myers price.

that's enormous and a completely different appliance

      • -3

        "that's enormous"

        Phillips White
        Dimensions: (LxWxH): 410 x 300 x 330

        Healthy Choice
        450 x 450 x 360 mm

        "a completely different appliance"
        Both are air fryers.

        • +3

yep, so the footprint on the kitchen bench is around 2/3 larger.

a "traditional" airfryer has a drawer you can pull out and dump the food into - that has a tray which you need to arrange the food on and is much more like a traditional oven, especially given you need to heat up over 4 times the volume of air. glad you're happy with it tho.

          • @harro112: At what point do these things turn into more oven than air fryer?

            • +1

@Signet: They're already ovens, but I get your point - once it's beyond the 6 or 7 litre mark, they take up about as much space as a standard 4 burner stove…

  • says its available instore but both delivery and C&C is unavailable

    • Still showing available for both online delivery and C&C at 4:10pm.

      • probably shoulda mentioned that was in SA

    • Available CC from some Vic stores. No delivery though.

    • WA still has delivery available

  • great price - but the white is a problem. Grease/smoke will discolour this in no time and make you want to hide it

the Kitchen Couture unit looks like a better product.

Wonder if the Airfryer will also be downloading GB's of porn like this blokes washing machine

    https://i.redd.it/m239cfhkbhbc1.jpeg

    • Whoah that's uploading yeah?

  • Change location to see if it's still available otherwise it will say out of stock if the store you chose is out of stock

  • +1

I just acquired the black version and after using only Ninja ones the Phillips to me appears to heat quicker and does a really solid job and feels / looks premium too!

  • do you wash your air fryer after using it afew times? My tray is super burnt and can't even scrub it clean, now everytime I use it for chips I can smell the oil fume all over the room. Original unit tha's 7 years old.

    • +2

yes, I pour baking soda, vinegar, and dishwashing liquid while it's hot and then let it soak in hot water for an hour or two, and than scrub it away. Using it since the last 10 years.

      • 'baking soda, vinegar' - hmm - my understanding of chemistry is putting alkali and acid together tends to neutralise each other

I'd guess with a net effect of adding chalk to water ?

        Plus BUBBLES !

'Sodium bicarbonate and acetic acid reacts to carbon dioxide, water and sodium acetate. The solid baking soda was placed in liquid vinegar producing carbon dioxide gas, which is evident because of the formation of bubbles in the foaming mixture.' - https://www.primaryconnections.org.au/themes/custom/connecti…

'Is Using Baking Soda and Vinegar Together a Good Idea? The short answer is no. And the long answer goes like this: When used together, baking soda and vinegar will neutralize each other, effectively canceling out the benefits of low pH for vinegar and high pH for baking soda.' - https://tide.com/en-us/how-to-wash-clothes/how-to-do-laundry…

        • You might be right but it has worked for me every time and even in sink drains. It could be chalk and water with bubbles but if it works to get out the grease and gunk, who really cares as long as it doesn't explode or damage my appliances, I am happy to use it.

Buy a silicon liner, wipe out the oil and put the liner in the dishwasher.

      • I'm interested by this. Has it affected how crispy your food becomes?

    • +1

Use the air fryer under the range hood if urs vents to the outside

    • For me it's not the tray - it's the heating element and the bits behind it that get covered in oil, and you can't clean it, and that smokes and stinks.

Basically, these are throw away items unfortunately, even though they're incredibly useful.

  • I was very excited on buying one but I'm not willing to go to Ballarat

  • OOS now. Best to check in store.

    • Still shows stock for me online (WA). Might depend on location.

  • The reviews around this model don't seem good - there's even comments around the size. Any feedback from people who have actually used this air fryer. Thanks in advance.

  • What is the difference between 9285/00 and 9285/90?

I cannot find 9285/00 from Philip website

    • One is white, one is black. Not sure why the white one is not on the Philips website. It looks like the white is only available at Myer, maybe it's an exclusive?

  • These new Philips air fryer models are horrible compared to the older models.

    • +1

What makes it worse than the older XXL?

      • Feels cheap and nasty like a Kmart job. Doesn’t cook anywhere near as good, feels like the air circulation is choked. The buttons don’t register / lag. It doesn’t have the slider rail which is a huge negative for me.

        • What previous model would you recommend?

  • Heads up - website still showing as available for delivery

    • +1

Thanks. Ordered one! Hope Myer doesnt cancel the order though. They do it very frequently.

  • Myer are now dead to me.

It looks like they've cancelled my click and collect order. Of course they haven't bothered to actually tell me, I only found out because Afterpay issued a refund.

    • Click and collect is always risky because until they actually pick the goods, it's open for sale to anyone.

    • They cancelled my C&C order today as well. So annoyed!

  • The listing says it comes with the baking tray. Did anyone receive one?

    • +1

No baking tray in mine. I think it was a mistake as it’s not mentioned in the black one.

      • Thanks. The box of mine had been opened and I wasn’t sure if someone had taken it out.

  • OOS

  • Has anyone received their order? I received an email saying my order is on its way 4 days ago, but shippit tracking still shows awaiting courier pickup.

    • Yes I picked up mine the next day after this post.

      • sorry, I was asking whether anyone who chose delivery had received it.

        • I have

          • @tms846: Finally got mine delivered today. Myer service is ridiculous. I rang them yesterday and they told me it wasn't even picked up by courier yet and turns out it was. Tracking is useless also. Didn't update until it was actually delivered.

  • It is still available. I just bought for delivery. Thanks OP

  • Ordered. Thanks OP. It’s weird as only working OP’s URL. Couldn’t find the one from myer’s website.
