    Not for construction sites as no metal toe cap/plate nor rated as safety boots, and not ideal for hikes as not Gore-Tex nor has suitable grip sole.

    It's a regular daily boot for those that prefer them to normal shoes (me).

  Any good comparable brands that do waterproofing like this? Is this a decent price? Genuinely interested in some wet weather shoes after this spate of wet weather in Sydney.

    These are extremely similar in both look and function of my Merrell boots that I absolutely swear by. I've had them since 2019 and for quite a while were my daily wears and still are in top nick. That particular model seems to have been discontinued unfortunately :(

  Once you add postage they're in the same price region as the Salomon boots often discounted at Anaconda. I really struggle to believe that these Cat boots are a better option.

    I had a pair of Cats before some time ago and they had a very similar feel and durability to the Merrell's I currently have. Unless their quality has dropped off for some reason in the last 10 years, I wouldn't have any concern about that.

  I bought the Caterpillar Wayward Boot from a deal a few years back now and still love the things, so comfortable, great quality and go great with lots of casual wear. Based on that I'm gonna grab a pair of these guys.
