Segway Ninebot Kickscooter Max G2 $1139.05 + Delivery @ Ride Hub

Hunted around for a decent e-scooter for a simple commute to save on petrol…

Thought Segway were one of the market leaders then compared their models using this:
Segway G30 vs G65 vs G2

Landed on the G2 (latest model) because of its dual suspension and lights (front, rear and indicators) plus this seems to be a reasonable price.

Got the Max2 which is g65 model before this for $850 incl shipping when they had deals. At that time coulda got the G2 for $1300 (haven’t really come down in price much - inflation?) but couldn’t see the benefit paying $550 more for pretty much same scooter less the indicator lights and slightly better range on motor. Had it for 5 months and it’s been great so far

    • Nice price. Does the older model have the dual suspension though? I thought that was unique to the g2?

Yes it does. Not unique to G2. The G1 Max 2 also has duel suspension

Unfortunately this is the reality of Segway booting out their distributor Panmi in favour of going direct. Don't expect the scooters to ever go much below the RRP.

  • Great price! Tempting.

  • Is this their top model?

  • I’m after the go kart. Apparently it legal on WA footpath

  • Anyone know what speed the ride hub one is 25kph or 35kph ? Doesn’t say in the description

    • Doesn't matter as you can unlock it eitherway.
I bought a "Australian Nanny version" which was locked to 25 ks, now i choose the speed i want to travel at (not government) and go 35ks like the global version

      • How did you unlock yours?

        • +1

Via an app on my phone and via Bluetooth with a Russian made video of what to do

  • I've had 3 different Segway scooters the original Ninebot Max the P100 and this model the MAX G2 and this one is my favourite.
The P100 was faster but not as comfortable to ride and as it looked expensive I was very reluctant to park/lock it out in public.
The MAX G2 goes fast enough for me 35kph (unlocked) my P100 would do 48kph and that was just too fast and dangerous.
The suspension is a huge comfort upgrade over the original MAX it also looks like all the other cheaper Segway scooters and even though I have a good lock I'm less worried about it being stolen. I also unlocked it myself, in fact I've unlocked all my Segway scooters, this MAXG2 was definitely the hardest to unlock. You'll need an app such as Xiaodash or Scooterhacking app, you need to change the serial number of the scooter, from memory the second digit was the number 2 and I needed to change it to the number 1, I also had to change the region to global. There are videos on Youtube to show you how to do it.

  • Will JBs price match this?

  • $1019 this weekend but it now charges $50 delivery :-(
