Announcement about Successor to Nintendo Switch Will Happen by 31 March 2025

This is Furukawa, President of Nintendo. We will make an announcement about the successor to Nintendo Switch within this fiscal year. It will have been over nine years since we announced the existence of Nintendo Switch back in March 2015. We will be holding a Nintendo Direct this June regarding the Nintendo Switch software lineup for the latter half of 2024, but please be aware that there will be no mention of the Nintendo Switch successor during that presentation.

No confirmation about what it is or when it'll release, but for all those people who say wait for Switch 2 in the comments it least now that's something official about future Nintendo hardware.

    I'm predicting Pokémon Legends: Z-A will be a release title for the new console.

      Pokemon never do this though, people say it every time, USUM was released after the switch, BW2 was after the 3DS, Emerald (in all countries other than Japan) was after the DS, Crystal (in all countries other then Japan) was after the GBA.

      They have to break a trend to do it, can't see it IMO

    The announcement in March could easily be, new switch in 2035 to celebrate the 20th anniversary.

    Switch was released March 2017, so it took 2 years from announcement. Expect to be sticking with your Switch to 2027?
