AMS lite worth the convenience? don't plan on doing multicolour, would just be for having different filament ready to go

Multi colour prints are great though
100%. Having automatic filament run-out switchover is a lifesaver. And the sealed box makes it easier to keep filament relatively dry while printing (by using silica gel beads in various containers).
The AMS Lite isn’t enclosed, that’s only the regular AMS.

Iirc yea it’s the whole assembly, there are a heap on Ali and similar for cheaper, $50 for the authentic in theory should last you a long time
Yeah bambu are cheapskates, the P1S combo includes 2 200g rolls of PLA… not even a whole roll on a $1500 printer.
It also comes with 2 stainless steel nozzles, one installed and one spare. They only sell hardened steel as a replacement. They are really being cheapskates.
