I was looking to get the k4 as reviews indicate it is potentially better for espresso grinds, however, it appears to be unavailable worldwide. Rumours indicate it has been discontinued. K6 it is then.

How does it pronounce, Kin-grinder or King-rinder?

    • Either way the implication is creepy

      • +1

I think you will find its KinReepy.

Very good filter coffee grinder for the price. I have this, a K-Pro and a Comandante — both at least 3x the price — and use this the most of all three. It has the speed and easy adjustment of the K-Pro, with a sweetness profile close to that of the Comandante.

Does a nice espresso too without any issues (but man I hate hand grinding for espresso). Still, to get an electric espresso grinder to produce similar or better grind consistency, you'd be spending $700+.

Just got back from almost 3 weeks away with a Kingrinder and a picopresso - they did not miss a beat.

Same. 8 weeks away with this, a picopresso and a nanofoamer. Was great! Got to try local offering of espresso beans after what I finished what I brought with me.

  • Just had my Sunbeam electric grinder die on me recently. My other half doesn't really drink much coffee these days, so I don't need a big grinder, plus I'd like something portable. Just grabbed one of these, looks like it will fit the bill.

I use a K4 with my Breville dual boiler. I almost find it therapeutic, is a bit annoying if making multiple cups when entertaining but otherwise it's been great. Wife struggles to get it going, it does take a bit of oomph (for espresso anyway). I have tried my
drill with it but didn't really like it.

    • Try an electric torque wrench

      • More effort than its worth surprisingly. But my rotator cuff may say otherwise.

  • Tastes better when you work for it!

      nope. it does not.

  • What happened to k4?

    • It’s been discontinued. I emailed customer service on Amazon for Kingrinder and that’s what they told me.

  • These any good for espresso machines? The get Kingrinder gets plenty of mentions on Reddit, but they mostly they talk about pour over.

Asking for a mate who just got a machine (Gaggia Classic Pro Yellow). He has to buy old-school stuff and is more about the fashion than function.
I said he'd need a grinder with good range for a finicky machine. May be 56-60 rotations or something, as long as can dial it in.

I purchased this for espresso and am finding it works great. It’s reasonably quick too, about 45 seconds to grind 18grams of beans.

  • Got mine today. Much better than the timemore c3 I have. I could never get a good shot with a single basket, always ways over extracting with 10gms.

Double shot was too strong for me when I’m the only one drinking.

With the Kingrinder I was able to make finer adjustment for the single basket espresso. Pretty happy so far. 34 clicks worked for me.
