Don't be fooled by the name, you can only fold it once.

Thank you, just cancelled my order.

  • Same price at ANZ store
    Time to stack coupons

    • I dont think any coupons stack anymore or am I mistaken?

  • ANZ store ??

    • I believe hopper means through the Samsung EPP (Employee Purchase Program).

    • ANZ Bank employee store.

  • How does one access an ANZ store? Is the 512gb on sale too?

    • +2

      Work at ANZ

    • No. I can only see 256gb and only two color ways - blue and black

  • +2

This is a good price but im going to hold out for the Fold 6 Ultra, I think this will be the model that brings true upgrade worthiness to the Fold (pun intended).

  • Also available for the same price @ their Gov Store.

  • +3

Same price on Education Store too. With $100 bonus trade in, price comes down to $1,459.40. I know it had been sub $1,000 in past, so some may feel still not the beat price.
Flip 5 is also discounted to $989.40 for 256GB version

Fold 6 might have a design change that many are hoping for. I say wait if you can

  • Someone is missing a trick by not being able to have students purchase a new Samsung phone and somehow have it as part of course fees and then HECS….

  • Is it possible to login EPP through Samsung app to get extra 5% first app purchase?

I feel so lucky that i got this phone for $892 last year.
    It was fun and crazy!

    • Wow; you did super well

      • Many people on this forum got the 512GB for only $618.62 ( crazy! so crazy cheap)
I paid $892 for the 256GB model because i was debating myself out of the deal (one of the code was expired, and i thought it would be waste of money to buy a foldable phone!) but in the end, i knew i could just sell it later and not making a loss so i went ahead.

          Awesome - well done!!

    • How has it been? Too bulky?

      • +2

its ok for me. I have small hands and my body build is small, i dont think its too bulky ( unless you put a chunky case in).
I really like the internal screen. In fact, I usually use the internal/bigger screen. I dont think i can go back to phones with smaller screen anymore.
When the fold 6 comes out, i will definitely go for it (because i got my fold 5 at cheap price, so the cost to upgrade should be ok)
Again, these are just my personal references and opinions.

        • I moved from fold 5 to s22 now to s23, loved it. But hated to see my pajamas sagging when I put in my pocket. I miss big screen but that's the sacrifice I opted for compact form factor.

          • @hopper: totally agree.
At least Samsung is trying to reduce the weight of their fold series so it will get better ( a little bit)

    • Got the 1TB for $1349

  • +3

    Still sportin ZFold2. 💘

    • Same, had mine since launch and it's been perfect until my kid dropped it on the spine a couple weeks ago…d'oh.

Internal screen was good for about a minute and I was like "yay it survived". Until I noticed the crease going darker and darker everytime I unfolded and eventually the entire screen was gone. Front still going strong, but keen for the 6 in a few months lol

  • Oof good deal.
I've still the got the 4 but going to do a Samsung Care swap in a few months - what do you reckon the chances are I'll get a 5 as a replacement? 🤞

    • What is Samsung Care swap? Why are you swapping BTW?

      • Back of the phone is cracked - and it's like a "insurance" sorta, you can pay an excess and they swap your phone

    • +1

If you do, please let us know!

      • +1

Will do! (if I remember haha)

    • +1

I reckon you will if you time it right so that all 4 stock is gone

      • +1

        That's my cunning scheme 😎

        • They might give you a refurbished 4?

    • +1

They now allow you to swap to a newer device. For my Fold4 1tb swapping to fold5 would be double the swap fee while going from 1tb to 256gb though. I'm going to wait until fold6 is released to see if that becomes an option.

    • Do you have to pay for Samsung Care? I don't think I've heard of it.

      • Yeah you buy it when you buy the phone - or some times it comes free when you preorder (which is what I did)

  • +1

1559 isn't a great deal by Samsung if this is a "clearance" type sale.

At this point, 256gb version should be $1250.

The flip should be around $850.

  • Still overpriced for a 5 gen old prototype

  • +1

Icy Blue 256gb model is on Amazon for $1410

    • Probably a grey import with non existent warranty

  • I would wait for a better deal unless you are already using a similar form factor already and don't plan to upgrade in 3+ years. This phone should last awhile it's still blazing fast for me and battery life is still great. But considering you could score the Fold 5 for $700-$990 last year from this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/805370, I wouldn't jump into it to 'try'.

  • Mine only lasted about14 months before the dreaded screen crease failure. Never dropped and always kept in a case. Loved it up to that point though. Now S23 Ultra and no more fold anxiety.. YMMV of course.

    • Mine just did the same thing last night. What are my options? Samsung will take the phone back next week to assess. What do you think will be likely outcome?

    • /edit: meant S24

  • They replaced mine with a refurbished one, then I traded that in straight away (s24) when it came back ( 2 weeks). I did have the upgrade/protect warrantee package though.
